I thought Evans would have ended up in Calgary to back up (and most likely take over) from Jake Maier.

Apparently, Evans' preference was to go to BC.

Evans is either the worlds greatest teammate, full of crap and saying all the right things or truly is satisfied playing second fiddle to Adams.
If the latter then you wonder if he has the competitiveness and mindset to be a starting QB in the CFL.

I’m sure he has a lot of confidence in himself. He really can’t say anything else at this point. If he stays a good teammate all year, he will either get a chance through injury or next year when some team is no longer happy with their QB.

What concerns me is that I was hoping to see Canadian Michael O'Connor getting a chance to oust Vernon Adams from the Lions' starting QB position. With Dane Evans in B.C., that now seems very unlikely. And I see that O'Connor is still unsigned.

:(

It was crystal clear (to me) that the Lions had no real faith in O'Connor after Rourke went down last season.

Meanwhile, the Argos have 3 American QBs signed with Div. II or III resumes for TC competition to compete for back-up behind Kelly = guess they don't think too much of O'Connor either ?
