Both Saskatchewan and Calgary have tough schedules into Labour Day. The East overall has a better win record vs. West so far. It is possible all 4 East teams make it to the post season for the first time. A lot of football to be played, but this has never been even a remote possibility before. Will be fun watching. An East crossover to either BC or Winnipeg will add an exciting element to the playoffs. This Thursdays BC and Winnipeg game is key that division. All the games in week 9 are compelling. Any week without Edmonton playing is must watch football.

I know this is not popular, but when the CFL adds the Atlantic Schooners, I want them to adopt a full interlocking schedule. Every team plays each team twice, home and away. Keep the crossover, so that the 6 best teams are playing in the post season. A full interlocking schedule ensures this as everyone's schedule is identical and when one division is weaker the stronger one gets its better team into the playoffs. Your divisional games are extremely important. Your 2 games against your biggest rivals become massive must see with fans traveling and watching on TV. Playoff games against your rival become historical in nature. BC and the Schooners will become coastal rivals and get added to the Labour Day slate.

Is it too early to discuss the Argos going 18-0 and Edmonton going 0-18?

Is it too early to discuss the Argos going 18-0 and Edmonton going 0-18?Never too early but they will be out of bye weeks second half of season. So hard to do. This last game for example the Argo offence under performed but defense was exceptional and special teams. A game may come where 2 or all 3 phases under perform. But this year, I believe it is the Argos themselves who can beat them. I don't believe they are worried about any team other than themselves not coming ready to play.

Is it too early to discuss the Argos going 18-0 and Edmonton going 0-18?Let's not fall for that. The goal should always be to go 1-0 every week.

I agree, things can turn quickly in the CFL.
