Not a shock at all, no point putting your future health in jeopardy for the sake of the sport. You have to think though if Tate is close by around the time he thinks he'll be back (October) and the Stamps are touch and go for the playoffs, I think they bring him back in. If they're miles away in either direction he's left till next season.
