A most studious observation :)

Although seriously, I find it hard not to look at the missed field goals (particularly the one that generated the return TD) and not think that we really shold have come away with a win.

There were a few factors, but mostly it came down to Special teams, and not scoring TD's in the red zone.

I thought there were a couple of bad decisions. Owens IMO, made one on his fumble. When you have to dive forward to catch a punt as he did, the most important thing is to secure the ball. He tried to get up and run with a lot of players around him, and I don't think he ever had the ball greatly secured. By running up and making the play he did to catch that ball, he already saved the team a lot of field position, and should have just stayed down. That led to the 14-0 TD, which IMO was a huge one.
