I'm not going. After reading what the Argo Admirals had to say, it sounds too dangerous.

In addition, there are no extra fees or surcharges, 40 is 40, and 60 is 60 !!

Good idea! I heard an Argo fan went to Hamilton a few years ago and was peed on and she also saw people smoking crack behind the scoreboard at halftime.

I know you're being sarcastic and referencing this article "Behind Enemy Lines: The Fan Experience in Hamilton (http://argosadmirals.com/2012/07/15/behind-enemy-lines-the-fan-experience-in-hamilton-2/)" written by the Argo Admirals which reads like a grade 9 essay. I don't believe the Argo Admirals embarrassing articles and tweets that very few people read have really done anything to help the Argos or the CFL.

I heard an Argo fan went to Hamilton a few years ago and was peed on and she also saw people smoking crack behind the scoreboard at halftime.Referring to this lovely piece of fiction "A football fan's unhappy visit to city (http://www.thespec.com/opinion/article/254819--a-football-fan-s-unhappy-visit-to-city)" written by a supposed Argo fan.

Gonna skip the labour day game this year in favour of attending the last game at Ivor Wynne against Winnipeg.

I and my two friends and a guest will be there... Section 6 Row 31, pretty much directly opposite of where i sat last time i went to Hamilton (Canada Day 2009 season opener, only good Argo game of that disasterous year, section 27 or 28)...

I expect it to be the best labor day game ever.

I read the article . It proves one thing, Twitter makes you soft. Always a good time in the Hammer, see ya there.

Twitter can actually be a really good tool for getting information out to people. This line from the Argo Admirals article, in my opinion says it all:

Maybe the fear was real, or maybe it was just blown up in our minds by the stories we had heard about being an Argo in Ivor Wynne. (http://argosadmirals.com/2012/07/15/behind-enemy-lines-the-fan-experience-in-hamilton-2/)
I'm pretty sure they blew it up in their minds to infuse some drama in to their grade 9 "What I did This Summer" essay. I'm sure if you go looking for trouble you'll find it, but that's true of going to any stadium where you are supporting the visiting team. I've never had a problem at Ivor Wynne and it's always a great time.

Anyone plan on getting in a fight?
I hope the people on this forum are above that mentality. Sadly that is something to be expected from the minority of casual "fans" that show up to the Labour Day game and only the Labour Day game every year just to get drunk and belligerent. As long as you don't engage in their stupidity though, there shouldn't be a problem.

Got my tickets a couple of weeks ago, it'll be my first one in four years since I've been away on Labour Day for school. Have to say I've never had any issues - sometimes sitting in the Argos sections, sometimes not. I was there for the playoff game in November in 2010 as well, and had no issues. Some sections are definitely worse than others. Either way, can't wait for the game and hoping it sells out, sounds like they still have some tickets to sell in the top sections.

Been to Hamilton tons of times and had issues some years and none on others. I've been the cause some years and Hamilton fans have been on others. Got turfed out for going up to a police officer with my pylon straight into his face and yelling "I want A Timbit And A Coffee". Then I repeated it. That's when we grabbed me by my right arm and hauled me out. I had his hand print in a bruise for at least a week. I started to head across the street to scrap when Finn of The Argoholics grabbed me just as a guy swung to clock me in the face I ducked and he hammered Finn the face. haha. I told Lori to beep beep when she tried to get me on the bus home.Man did I have to appologize after that. Needless to say I won asshole of the year that year and I've never got smoked at a game again. Mikes Hard Lemonaide all game long after boozing on the bus and crap happens in a bad way. Oh well it's another story now.
