Re: Ottawa REDBLACKS
Redblacks released Nick Mardner. We are so, so fortunate they chose him rather than Mital in the 2024 draft. Ottawas draft picks have been major disappointments considering Burke was picking number one every year. The worst was that o lineman from ncaa Dontae Bull. He was coming off of an injury th...

Let's hope Argos put this game away by halftime up 3-4 TDS. Justin Hardy is out for Ottawa. He is their best receiver. Their secondary is not good.

Re: Saskatchewan Roughriders
Saskatchewan may very well be the Argos opponent in the Semi Final. AJ Ouellette, healthy again, is making Football Great Again. Coming back to BMO Field, will be a load, to handle, along with former Argo Trevor Harris and that receiving corps. Harris has had some incredible playoff performances. T...

Re: Game Thread: Toronto Argonauts at Ottawa Redblacks, Friday, October 16
Bryson Barnes, likely to get the start versus Toronto. First start, who knows what you're going to get. Argos should be sitting anybody remotely injured. Probably sitting every starter they can against Montreal as well. Who cares if you're the stat vs Ottawa. The Argos are going to have tough games ...

Re: Where does this receiving corps rank for you?
Compared to Stampeders 1994 when Allen Pitts broke Terry Greers record in 18 games. Flutie QBd Calgary, and threw for 5,700 yards, but no other receiver went over 1,000 on the team, they did not play in or win Grey Cup that season. Flutie was league MOP. The 1983 Argos are among the greatest CFL tea...

Re: Where does this receiving corps rank for you?
Damonte Coxie, Dave Ungerer III, Makai Polk, Tyler Kahmann, Kevin Mital (Depth Pieces: Jake Herslow, Dymere Miller).Three of these players have already reached 1,000 yards with an outside shot for Mital. 4 x receivers would be unprecedented for an Argo group. How compare it to some of the others? 2...

Re: Change in East Semi-Final Game Time
Growing up, I associated the CFL with Saturdays and Sundays in the fall. I don't know how it would be now, but I always believed that NFL doesn't really affect CFL crowds negatively for Sunday afternoon games. You don't have to be watching to bet, and let's be honest, that is the real appeal for a ...

Re: Game Thread: BC Lions vs. Toronto Argonauts Sat Oct 3 at 3 pm ET
Do punts, fgs, pats count as offensive plays? Not to me. I have been tracking every game -- just offensive snaps. Runs, passes, sacks. We are getting about 109 of those per game this season, up from about 106 last season. I had hoped and expected it would be more like 5-10 extra offensive plays. Th...

Re: Change in East Semi-Final Game Time
New times make sense in avoiding trick or treat times, but will afternoon bring max TV audience? Well, the west semi doesn't have to go head to head with HNIC now, so I think that game will get more viewership from eastern Canada. Right, another consideration. HNIC. Should have just scheduled it th...
