The same thing is true of this post. Such irony!
The ironing is delicious.

A CFL stats junkie could maybe do some research - the last 20 years or so - and find any CFL season long starting RB who has an average/ carry as weak as 4.1; OR - a starting, oft targeted receiver who has only caught 50% of the passes thrown his way. But maybe the stats lie or are meaningless? OR - maybe it's all Tre Ford's fault ? :?:
To be fair to Lawler, he was far more effective with Bo Levi Mitchell at QB than with anyone else playing that position in Hamilton.
Also, Lawler’s reputation as the best contested-catch guy in the league means that he probably gets a lot more prayers thrown his way than anybody else.

Obviously If we can contain Ford the D will have a field day Monday. But how to contain Ford? Do we put a spy on him all game long? Who’s our best guy for that job? Or do we bring more pressure?

Brandon Banks 2022. Played (and started) 16 games, targeted 75 times, caught 37 passes.

Nice work. Banks was a dangerous returner first in the CFL who became a regular receiver - deep threat, but not the best hands.

Yep, that's a factor; as is the amount of desperate or deep throws he gets his way. His mark there last season was also league worst like - with Bovine.

Point is - with both Lawler & Rountree at RB = evidence of inefficient and dumb offence; and I hope Scotty M sticks with it.

Dumb because Ford can’t handle it even though BLM was fantastic. Nice interpretation.

Hey, if you would be good with the Argos trotting out a starting RB, week after week, with the guy averaging 4.1 yds/carry, or a receiver who gets targeted lots but only catches 50% of those passes, then have at that garbage. I'm more into productive offensive plays & players. Could also blame the O-line as well, but the offensive minds calling those plays and players' numbers are never to be questioned - genius at work with Scotty M. Or, from the usual suspects - yep, must all be Ford's fault.

Keys to the game for the Argos:

1. Overcome the pixie dust the Ticats seem to get in this game.
2. Find a reason to hate the Ticats as much as they seem to hate the Argos.

I'm going to the game. Who else?
An extra supply of pixie dust was used for the 1991 LDC, when the championship bound Argonauts lost 48 - 24 to a team that ended up 3 & 15.

Well, the Riders have trotted AJO for this 3rd season and he’s yet to have a 5 yard average per carry in any of those seasons. They seem to have been able to win despite that.

And I always thought you claimed to not be a stats guy? Only when it’s convenient = I guess?

Ouellette averaged 4.9 last year for a GC win team; in his Argos years he always averaged over 5 per carry and his CFL career mark is right at 5. This Rountree guy is at 4.1 this year for the Pussycats - bad as it gets for a regular starting CFL RB. That's like comparing (IMO) a QB who completes 45% of his passes to one who completes over 60.

You a closet Ticat or Scotty M fan ? Ford can get dumped all over but don't dare say anything about Scotty or his fave guys.

No, it’s your constant agenda of blaming of everyone other than your player that is annoying. Always calling every coach in the league clueless as if you know more. And I am not the only one that calls you out for your BS. A trip over to Riderfans will prove that.
