Do you sometimes forget how good Pinball was as a player?

It's been over 25 years since he played. He's coached, served as President and GM since then.

Kind of easy to forget how good of a player he was.

I remember his playing days quite well, an outstanding Argonaut and great person who has created so much goodwill for not only the Argos but the CFL!

I saw him before the CNE game in the elevator in the stadium. I shook his hand and told he is the greatest sportsman the city and country has ever seen. You have never lost a championship game, as a player, a coach, a GM, or executive.
He said very humbly that there are 50 others involved.
I told him, yes, but you are the lynchpin keeping it all together.

Nah, I always watch his YouTube highlights from time to time. The Doug Flutie years were pretty incredible. If no one was open, Pinball was often the checkdown but he would turn it into 10 yards almost every time. Quite remarkable.

Whenever I watch games from time to time, I observe how humble Pinball could be if he caught a TD late in a blowout game. He'd just hand the ball to the ref. No celebration.

The good old days, act as if you’ve been there before.
