Massive win today.

The biggest issue with the Argos this year has been mentality... They really could have had 4 more wins this year, but just didn't believe they were going to win 3 of those games and faded the longer 3 they went on. (with the 4th being that missied kick in Hamilton).

With the Argos stuck level despite doubling up first downs and yards through 3 quarters, it looked like another one, but they found those key plays when they needed, and even got the Walk-off kick demon slayed.

Yes, it was scraping past a winless Ottawa, but I reckon that result will be huge for the the team's mentality and learning how to win as a team.

Was Maier injured or just pulled?
Maier was pulled. I don't know if Dinwiddie has ever pulled his starter before but he did today.

Ottawa's offence was worlds better the second MBT stepped in.

Tired of the Kelly hate (mostly on Facebook). Got the job done. I’m not happy with his INTs as much as the next fan but he’s helluva QB and glad he’s an Argo.

Wasn't this the "Frosh" game? You can't just slap a label on a game and then do nothing and expect more people to show up. Its like Pride night, or Whatever night. If you dont then go to the Universities and Colleges and let them know its happening there never going to know.
There were no more people there than if no label was attached to the game.
If MLSE plan on remaining lazy owners just have 2 games during the CNE. At least you will draw 20,000.

Forty Creek Quadruple Header is in the books. Argos with a win, "Its not how, it's how many". Ottawa wasn't able to push the ball down field or run the ball. I was skeptical about Greg Quick being hired as DC, but not anymore. Darkangelo & Pickett are great together. Argos ran the ball well against the team with the worst run defense....yet Kelly still threw for over 400 yards. Key plays were made resulting in a win. 7-6 while only having 3 home games is nothing short of incredible. With this win, Ottawa can't catch the Argos in the standings & like against Hamilton, secure the season series.

I wasn't going to post this but it is kind of relevant to what you are saying.

Two of my friends wanted to tag along for this game and I had one hell of a time getting tickets for the seats beside mine. Three weeks ago, Ticketmaster was showing the vast majority of seats in the stadium were unavailable. There were only four seats available in my entire section and none of them were even close to mine.

I know Ticketmaster is shady, so I logged in every day for about two weeks and was finally able to get seats beside mine. A week ago, there were a lot more seats available.

On Friday night, I logged in just to see the ticket situation and dozens, even hundreds of seats were available, in every section, that were previously not available before.

If you checked the tickets three weeks ago, you would conclude that nearly every section, save for the upper East deck, was almost sold out. If you checked on Friday night, you would have known that the game was going to be sparsely attended.

If you were planning three weeks ago to bring a group of more than two, it would have been impossible to get reasonably priced tickets if you checked then.

Now I'm no professional ticket monger, but the way Ticketmaster sells tickets to Argos games seems detrimental to actually getting fans in the building.

I also want to note my sense of time could be off. Three weeks ago could have been two weeks ago, but my point remains valid.
