The football gods really conspire against Kelly playing Rourke. It has only happened once I believe in all the years they've been in the league together. Hopefully Grey Cup game in Calgary.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2026 11:07 am Kelly is OUT, Delaurent is in. That's the only lineup change.

Well, I hope Arbuckle leads the team to victory and makes me look like a complete moron tomorrow.
It's really not that hard to do.
I suppose if Kelly is going to be injured, this is the best time all season for that to happen.

I wonder if Deslaurant can be the 3rd and short guy. He supposedly is 6-5 and weight 229 lbs, and has rushed for yardage. Also his completion percent has been decent. I hope he gets some game action.

As they say, best to roll with the punches.
Next best thing to thrashing the Lions with the starting QB is to do it with the #2. It's a nothing game for TO so why show your best hand now. Time for the D to shine and lead the way. Kick a lot of field goals and run the ball down their throats. Remember the unbeaten at home streak.
If this was the Grey Cup, my guess is Kelly plays.
Good time as well to give Nick Arbuckle some reps and decide where he sits in next year plans. It would be great to se3e him put up 300 yds.
That said, I also like the Lions and the job Buck Pierce is doing and suggest him to be a strong candidate for Coach of the Year. Hatcher, Horvath, Sankey all playing well.
Should be a good game. Hope the weather is nice.

Good Morning fans of the Double Blue on this fine Game Day.
Nick Arbuckle is set to bring the Heat (and it won't be bush league heat) and the Argo D will score points on Rourke.
The dog is walked, coffee is in the belly. Its time to get hyped.
The Argos will keep their first place ambitions alive with a statement win this afternoon.

Sounds like it will be another glorious fall day at BMO Stadium. Disappointing that Kelly isn't able to go opposite of Rourke but this is why the Argos have the best reserve QB in the league. My concern is BC will concentrate on shutting down the run game, leaving Arbuckle more susceptible to getting sacked than Kelly is. Hopefully BC won't play dirty like they have been recently....I'm sure Rourke has a T Shirt printed up for that too.

12-10 BC at the half. As usual the Argos do not have much of a rushing attack, and could not run the clock down more before the half giving BC a chance to move the ball and kick a field goal. Still BC being limited to 4 field goals is pretty good.
Argos have been lucky and unlucky.
Lucky because BC's offence has not been sharp The Argos defence has been okay, but BC has had several missed routes and passes. Darkangelo has made a couple of tackles after only a 2 yard gain, and a couple after 8 yard gains.
Unlucky because of various plays that could have changed the score. The defensive offside penalty that wiped out Holley's fumble recovery. Hunter's ill advised penalty when they were down near the 5 yd line and he pushed a BC player in the back after the whistle pushing them back to BC's 20 yd line. The good coverage on an Argo punt when a BC player trying to block gets knocked back behind the punt returner, and when the returner fumbles, the ball bounces back right to the BC guy. The tripping penalty on Holley to keep a BC drive going right before the half.
It will be interesting to see how the second half goes.

Argos offence in the 3rd quarter. One unlucky fumble recovery by BC. Then 2 or 3 two plays and out. BC is blitzing on practically every play and the offence has no answer for it. BC driving for more points as the 4th quarter starts. BC so far has double the yardage the Argos have.
