Tre Ford named EE starter for next game.
Love to see what he could do along with that 3 headed run game monster and balance on offence they have going now.
They could win the West IMO.

I would have laughed at this notion heading into the season but you are definitely right, they really could be a force down the stretch.
Re: Edmonton Elks
He might try the NFL, but I personally think he needs to develop his pocket passing game before he gets a serious look. He has also been hurt a few times up here, and that doesn't bode well for his chances down south to be a running QB. I don't think he will re-sign with the Elks, and see him going to Hamilton, or possible the Riders depending on how Harris plays when it counts.j-ski wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 9:24 am So what do people think will happen with Tre Ford? Will he sign with the Elks? Will he sign with another CFL team? I think he will spend a year trying to catch on with an NFL team. The NFL seems to love their athletes and Tre Ford is possibly the fastest QB in pro football.
Also, wouldn't be surprised to see him and his brother sign with the same team, so I wouldn't count out the Bombers either. ZC has not had his best season.
Re: Edmonton Elks
I don't know if we sign with the Hamilton if Jones (even a defensive coach) is still there. I don't see Hamilton as a team that's big on developing Canadian talent. They probably have the worst Canadian talent in the CFL.AngeloV wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 11:05 amHe might try the NFL, but I personally think he needs to develop his pocket passing game before he gets a serious look. Unless he is going to get good guaranteed money from the NFL he is better off in Canada. His brother, I could see getting an NFL opportunity.j-ski wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 9:24 am So what do people think will happen with Tre Ford? Will he sign with the Elks? Look at Nathan Rourkes NFL experience. He was re-writing the CFL record book at 9 games in 2022 and gets injured. Puts career and health at risk to come back, wins a playoff game, wins MOC. The NFL didn't care about any of that to give him a legitimate opportunity because he wasn't drafted there and didn't play at a big enough school.
What will they think of Ford? He won't get a real shot anywhere.

I agree he won't stick in the NFL, but I think he will get a shot this upcoming season. He's gotten a look in the past, and this time I think he will get a training camp invite.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 6:19 pmUnless he is going to get good guaranteed money from the NFL he is better off in Canada. I think that Nathan Rourke's NFL experience is a cautionary tale - or at least should be one - for any CFL QB in this day and age. I don't see Tre Ford getting a real shot in the NFL but where he ends up in the CFL in 2025 is anyone's guess.j-ski wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 8:00 pmI agree he won't stick in the NFL, but I think he will get a shot this upcoming season. Re: Edmonton Elks
I am happy that Mark Kilam is getting his shot as head coach.
Re: Edmonton Elks
The Elks have trade McLeod Bethel-Thompson to Montréal for Cody Fajardo.
