One courtesy drive = he showed nothing in camp.
You were there at Als TC? - I missed your reports; how many reps did Senecal get and how did he look ? Probably "weak arm strength" held him back ?
Neither were you, Einstein.
Impress the coaches or you're gone. Simple concept.
You mean CFL coaching staff(s) aren’t screwing over Canadian QB’s in favour of fielding a weaker roster and diminishing their chances of winning a championship?
As you said impress or you don’t make it.

It might be a "conspiracy" I think i heard somewhere .
But the reality is, the GMs and coaches "just want to win" and will always go with the best players - don't care if they're from Mars.

With the Als cutting vet starting RB Fletcher, apparently the starting RB job could go to vet Sean Thomas-Erlington (he of the superior CFL career yds/ carry average);; so in addition to some SM$ savings, this could mean Erlington as the starter gets them to their 7 only need apply goal (3 interior O-line + Philpot at receiver + Erlington = 5 on offence; and then DeQuoy at safety + they have at least 3 good Canadian DEs to play in the rotation = 2 on D).

Montreal looking dominant going 2-0 vs teams employing 2nd string QBs, with tonights win against Matthew Shiltz and the Ottawa All Blacks.
In contrast, Montreal forced to go to their 2nd stringer in Hamilton and MBT looked quite bad. The Als didn't try and run the ball all that much either.

Overall Week 4 observation, the drop-off from 1st-string QB to backup QB, across the CFL, sure looks deeper than I had expected it would.

Which is why these QB injuries are so disconcerting. By my count, 5/8 teams that played this week started their No. 2's.
