Most of our guys played that way. Tip of the cap to our boys, job well done. And nice TD to Hunter!

Chazz on TSN was bang-on and honest, he usually tells it straight. Argos HAD to have this game, OR ELSE.

one more question for the group...what do you think about Mital as our short-yardage guy???
Thinking outside the box...like it.

Big props to Dinwiddie for his well-timed outburst last week. Boys responded to his outstanding motivational skills. Give that man an extension!

I think it's great. The team has struggled in that department so an out of the box solution was required.TrueBlueGuy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 10:45 pm one more question for the group...what do you think about Mital as our short-yardage guy???

I like it, but I don't see it as thinking outside the box, since Hamilton does the same thing with Litre. However, I'm glad Dinwiddie has finally tried it.TrueBlueGuy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 10:45 pm one more question for the group...what do you think about Mital as our short-yardage guy???

Their sideline reporters do not have a mandate to stay on top of things, it seems. And it would be pretty tough for s single reporter to know what's going on with two teams anyway. Watching Claire Hanna on Friday night, she spent most of the game at a desk at midfield, not closely scrutinizing either club. Tonight I saw her around the Argo bench at the end of each half when she was prepping to interview someone. The classic missed moment was the 2022 Grey Cup when TSN had absolutely no idea Toronto's starting QB was on the sideline frantically trying to repair a major injury.

TSN’s spotter wasn’t doing his job. I can see from the TV the line judge was spotting Adeboboye down on the 1. The spotter has to tell the guys calling the game that. They are likely looking at the replay on the monitorgilthethrill wrote: ↑Sun Jun 29, 2025 9:15 pmThat's what Rod Smith thought too. Short Yardage QB Crum got it.

Here are some observations from tonight’s game:
The D-line really brought the heat but were burned a bit by Crum’s mobility. I don’t think that they will have the same problem against Bo.
Chatfield and Lanier were both excellent and have proven to be good acquisitions.
I thought that Arbuckle didn’t do too badly considering the one dimensional offense. He even used his mobility a bit which helped.
Darkangelo was very good as was Benjie Franklin. When McManis returns, Darkangelo has to remain in the middle and let McManis has to attack the opposing backfield. Franklin got shafted on his PI call by the command centre, which was utter nonsense. Otherwise, he was back to the level he showed in the latter part of last season.
Slywka has shown to be a shrewd acquisition. Not only does he have good athleticism but also strong awareness and instincts. I look forward to seeing him develop throughout this season.
These injuries are becoming ridiculous but as they say in football, “next man up”.

A good win against a poor Ottawa team. And Bob Dyce is a dummy of a HC IMO; down 2TDs with around 6 minutes and in Argo territory left and he elects to kick a FG which did nothing - they still needed 2 TDs to hope to win; the Argos got the ball back and killed another 3 minutes or so .... ????
D was solid mostly with a strong pass rush - Chatfield is proving a pass rush force.
Some more good downfield throws by Arbuckle but run game is weak.
I'll guess Slwyka may have set an all-time CFL record with 2 x 100 yard returns (fumble + missed FG) in the same game? = incredible.
