I'd have to take another look through box scores, but it does seem like Adam Rita was trying to run the ball a little more in the earlier part of the year. I know they even featured a few looks out of the wishbone in that 62-10 win over Saskatchewan, and Matt Dunigan only attempted 16 passes in a win over BC a week or two later. Pinball got hurt in that BC game and missed quite a few games and his replacements in the backfield weren't quite as talented.

If we're including RBs as part of five-man receiving groups, Minter and Drummond would need to be included for sure. Minter had Greer, Tolbert, Pearson and Bronk as his primary mates in 1983; Drummond had Clemons, Masotti, Cunningham and Williams in 1996. The 1997 group really featured only four prime targets: Clemons, Masotti, Mitchell and Drummond. Will wrote: ↑Wed Sep 03, 2025 4:26 pm I am aware that Pinball lined up in the backfield in 1991, but considered Pinball as 1/5 receivers because of the type of offense the Argos ran at the time. I would honestly do the same for Cedric Minter and consider him in evaluating the 1982 and 1983 receiving corps. I suppose Robert Drummond might deserve the same treatment, although he did rush for over 1,000 yards that one season.

What a game! Thankfully, the right team ended up winning. However, what transpired at the end to me was
poor situational football. All we needed was a field goal to win. Brissett was lucky to have stepped out of bounds when he did. Interviewed by TSN after the game, he said the following: "The only thing I wished I would've done different was to get out of bounds earlier." However, he obviously had no intention of consciously doing that. "I'm thinking touchdown or nothing," Brissett said. "I knew, obviously, the situation and it happened the way it was supposed to." Arbuckle and Dinwiddie were both yelling at him to get out of bounds earlier. I was convinced there was zero seconds left," Arbuckle said. "I was furious on the sidelines." "I was screaming get out of bounds,"' Dinwiddie said. "That's a tough situation to teach going into it... it's going to be one of those teaching moments I'll be showing the clip of for years." I do agree that in that situation, the adrenaline can kick on and you're determined to score. That being said, it was an unnecessary risk that could have easily blown up in the Argos' face.
