Both UofT and York victorious in week 1. The last time both teams won in the same week was 2011.
UofT and Carleton combined for 990 yards passing. That must have been a fun one to watch.
York's transfer QB, Keegan Hall also threw for over 300 yards in defeating his from school McMaster.
I for one, hope these teams can continue to play well. I am tired of seeing the same teams year after year dominating. It was nice to see Windsor's program improve the last couple of years, and would be fantastic to see some balance.
Great start for Toronto based teams

York has recruited heavily from the CJFL this past season as well as relying on transfers. Not sure if they’re thinking long term or about now with such moves. But winning now may lead to top recruits in the future.

That would be great. They really haven't been competitive since Andre Durie was there.ArgoGabe22 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 25, 2025 3:46 pm York has recruited heavily from the CJFL this past season as well as relying on transfers. It's great to see wins by York and U of T. Having teams routinely losing every game by 50 points isn't good for any league.
As a Waterloo alum, I'm still kind of in awe that we had Tre Ford for a few moderately successful seasons. (And it kind of makes me laugh that things were so bad in Edmonton, that bringing in a quarterback from Waterloo seemed like a good idea

Not a good rest of the seasons so far for U of T.
Seems that my alma mater, the University of Ottawa, is middle of the pack as per usual. There's never quite enough investment in the program for them to be one of the top schools in the OUA, but they put just enough not to be a bottom feeder.
