And there was much rejoicing.
Shivers hasn't produced a good defence since 2021. I am glad the Argos are moving on from him. I would like to see Josh Bell return from Saskatchewan as defensive coordinator.

Mike Miller in his introductory press conference did mention that he wants to have an aggressive defence. I think with Chad Kelly back as QB, the offence will be aggressive as well. Should be fun to watch on TV in June and July. By the time they get home for game 8, they should be a fine tuned machine.
Interested to see who the DC will be. Eiben? He's been here 2 years as co-DC. I hope he interviews well.

I saw a Dave Naylor tweet from earlier in the week stating that Eiben would not be back.

Perhaps Chris Jones? I wonder if Hufnagel has forgiven him for jumping to the Argos in 2012 from the Stamps.

I think they're going to start fresh on defence.

I find Chris Jones to be exhausting. He was great in 2012 in Toronto and 2014-15 in Edmonton when he settled on his defensive personnel and had success as a result; however, I am still haunted by his defence's poor 2nd half play in both the 2013 and 2021 East Finals - far too much lineup juggling and instability in both of those seasons.

I hope they go with someone like a Josh Bell, who has established himself as a solid position coach who is probably ready for a shot at d-coordinator.

I agree that my preference would be Josh Bell!

Gregg Quick looks to be the DC. Good choice if he brings an aggressive style defense, like they had in Montreal last year.

I’m indifferent on the choice. I will say, coach Miller said aggressive is what they are going for, so the hire seems true to his word, can’t complain.
