Yes, Darkangelo and Ungerer were both pending free agents so this is great news!
Happy with all three but Herslow is a great signing, talented receiver who loves to compete!
I got a feeling #12 is gonna love playing with Herslow. And we’re gonna love watching it.
Let’s hope so Rich!

Looking at Harper's resume, he has an excellent background having not only played but starting with one of the best offensive lines in US college football but starting the vast majority of games. He must have some sort of back story though as someone with his pedigree almost always gets a free agent look in the NFL and Harper did not. I'm hoping that the Argos give him an opportunity in his natural role at guard instead of tackle at camp. We all saw how Hampton Ergle struggled in his brief stint at tackle last season, where he never saw time at during his college career.

The Argos have signed LB Jalen Rayam through 2028. He was a 5th round draft pick in 2025 out of UTEP and will attend his first CFL training camp in 2026.

Here's what Jim Barker said to the Calgary Herald prior to the 2025 draft about Rayam:

Barker on Rayam: “I think Jalen Rayam’s the best there, but he hasn’t played in two years due to injury,” Barker said. “Based on his 2022 year alone at Middle Tennessee State, he’s the best linebacker. But now you’ve got two years that happened — one, he blows his ACL in training camp, and the next year, he gets hurt the first game of the season at UTEP.”

According to Coty Wiles from TSN, the Argos have released RB Miyan (Chop) Williams. We barely got the chance to know him. I guess they will be looking elsewhere to improve the RB position. Spencer Brown and Deonta McMahon are still with the team.

There are still some quality free agent RBs available (Stanback, Bell, Butler).

That’s a real shame about Chop Williams, I wonder if his career can even continue after his horrible injury. I’m sure we all wish him the best.

I’m excited to see Ka’deem put his mark on the running game. His signing was a pretty inspired choice I would say. One of the most versatile backs ever seen in double blue, there’s nothing he didn’t do well.

With Chop gone he’ll have pretty much a blank slate to work with. I think he’ll make a great coach.

Williams was back practising by the end of last season. I am assuming that he just didn't want to return for some reason and requested his release.

IIRC he wasn’t a full participant in those late season practices.

I'd suggest you look up Rayam's actual stats and playing time in that 2022 season at Middle Tennessee, rather than buying Barker's bluster Ravi. Quite expected to hear a team executive talk up his players though.

When Barker made those comments, he was not working for the Argos. He was a media personality of sorts, and would have had no good reason to undermine his own credibility with spin.
