Argonauts sign LB Adarius Pickett

Post by paulwoods13 »

This is arguably worth its own thread, but Argos have signed Adarius Pickett. Excellent move by the brass, IMO.

Setting up the dream linebacking corp!
Pickett, Judge, DarkAngelo, then Winton.
Too much to hope for?

Pickett is an impact player and perennial all-star. It deserves and is getting it's own thread.

I guess this shouldn't be a surprise as Pickett had words for RD when he left Toronto!
Also does this signing leave cap room to bring Mcmanis back as well.

Very happy to have Pickett back!

Obviously would love to have McMannis back with him.

Good move. Linebacker corps looks to be in good shape.

Great signing. I echo everyone else, IF they can keep McManis, and Judge this trio are immediately the best LB Corps in CFL. They have an opportunity to become a historic all time LB team, along with Eskimo dynasty LBs, Bombers LBs from 80s, and Argos in 96/97 (OShea, Wiltshire and Benson were all CFL all stars).
Make Clemons President!!!

Excellent news ! Wonder if Pickett likes Dinwiddie ? ;)

Need to get McManis re-signed now - to make up the best LB corps in the league. Then got lots of work to do to improve the other D units (D-line & secondary) - wonder if some other FA shopping will be done there? Though the return of Holley helps; and maybe they can get one or both of Vilain & Shand to sign; and maybe the new DC gives Ojo a real shot this year; also some good D-line prospects up this draft.

It’s good we’re finally learning why so many veteran players and coaches couldn’t wait to leave town in recent years: Nobody could stand the head coach. How many more prodigal sons will be returning?

I think we overpaid for McManus last year, I think maybe Pickett comes as a value replacement, let someone else overpay for McManus
