I believe the Lions are going big with American OL, so they need American depth at that position group. The Lions may be the team to beat this year.

I don't see it. If Rourke goes down they are finished. Benevides as DC will do them no favors either.

Backup QB and the defence are huge question marks for that team. Their FG kicker's range is limited, also.

If Rourke goes down long term, you guys are correct, Lions are finished. With Rourke their offence will be lethal. The offence set some CFL records last season that they will break again this year. Any defensive liabilities they have - and they will be better there - will be more than overcome by the offence. The only game they need to worry about is Grey Cup in Calgary if its cold. The goalposts dont move this year. FG kicking is still accurate short range. Rourke will be scoring TDs mostly anyhow.

Based in that, then the Argos will be facing BC in the Grey Cup.

Thats my pick on the CFL game zone. BC vs Argos. Argos win with Kelly out dueling Rourke. I think Kelly and Rourke each throw over 5,000 this year. BLM can again, and Trevor. Could be quite a year for QBs, reminiscent of the 80s/90s.

We can only judge by the first preseason game but it looks like there will be many more plays this season, due to the new 35 second clock, which means more opportunities for QBs like Kelly and Rourke.

???9th??? I understand they were 5-13 last year, but they got better and healthier over the winter. New coach? Is that why? People are under estimating his experience, and connection to his QBs. Argos only having 6 home games? That's a legitimate argument and a death sentence for most football teams, but not this one. This franchise makes a living out of succeeding when the apathy meter is set to 10.

First 7 on the road. If they can be 3-4, they will be in great shape. Let the games begin.

I didn't even figure that into my calculation. Rourke, Fajardo, Adams Jr., Harris, Collaros, Alexander, Brown, Kelly, Mitchell all have the ability if healthy.

Adams Jr., Fajardo, Collaros may not have the horses around them to do it. The others sure do.
