Hate to see good coaches leave but good for Fields. Will wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 7:09 pm https://x.com/SunDoniB/status/1868405062353277020

He did an excellent job in Toronto so this is a well-deserved promotion for him.ARGO57 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 7:23 pmHate to see good coaches leave but good for Fields. Will wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 7:09 pm https://x.com/SunDoniB/status/1868405062353277020

A classic CFL GOB recycle job. Ricky can whisper loudly in Bob's ear i guess.AngeloV wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 2:15 pm So Rick Campbell going back to Ottawa as ST coordinator. I sure hope he was Bob Dyce's hire and not a forced hire by management. Smells like they are already planning for when they relieve Dyce of his duties.

You maybe onto something there Angelo, Dyce should be nervous.AngeloV wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 2:15 pm So Rick Campbell going back to Ottawa as ST coordinator. Umm, gotta disagree there - the switch in the East semi, vs. the Argos, to a mostly spread offence / 6 pack / no real run game, netted almost 500 passing yards and a doubling of time of possession, vs. the Argo D that went on to win the GC. That was arguably the RedBlacks best offensive game of the season.
Butler is a much better receiver coming out of the backfield than Stanback, IMO, so may be a better fit for the Rourke offence in BC moving forward. Butler probably made a mistake leaving BC in the first place but has now corrected that.OV Argo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 4:21 pmUmm, gotta disagree there - the switch in the East semi, vs. the Argos, to a mostly spread offence / 6 pack / no real run game, netted almost 500 passing yards and a doubling of time of possession, vs. the Argo D that went on to win the GC. I thought Dyce & Condell might have wanted to continue / explore that style of offence more; but maybe not, and also good to have a quality RB at your disposal (and D. Williams, who missed all of last season with injury there, after impressing plenty the season before, could return as well ?)
BC preferring that ultra mediocre Butler over the far superior Stanback is a bit head scratching; but maybe a money thing; or maybe Rourke put in a word for Butler as he was his main RB in his big CFL season there.
