Pulling for Fields to make a big impact on that sad-sack RedBlacks D; told my RedBlacks season ticket rep i was considering not renewing if they retained the incompetent B. Miles.

We'll see if they make significant changes in both personnel and D schemes.

According to Farhan Lalji, there was a contractual snag with Brent Monson, who is headed to Hamilton instead. My guess is that Kevin Eiben will become the sole defensive coordinator with the Argos.

The Monson to Argos speculation was a bit of a head scratcher IMO considering Eiben and that other guy did a good job with the D this past season.

I was wondering the same thing myself.
Monson is from Hamilton so probably not a difficult decision to make when the Ticats approached him.

Provided the Argos didn't burn that bridge when the Monson rumor came out.

Considering the odious horror known as Hamilton, you'd think it would've been an easy decision to not go back.

Jim Barker mentioned something about this a week or two ago when he was on with Rod Pederson. I can't remember exactly what he said, and am not going to go back and look lol.

I'm very worried that the football genius Chris Jones will be out of work since the Ticats have turned to Monson as their new DC - WTF ??? - why was Jones not named DC for life plus assistant HC to Scotty?

Which CFL team will now be able to reach out and hire Jones as a key part of their coaching staff ? Surely somebody will get that this incredible football mind can really hep their team ? Re-use/ recycle /same-old = it's the CFL way !
