No argument in any of your comments.
McEachern was stuck in Saskatchewan for all but one year of his lengthy career but that one year was the glorious Grey Cup winning season in 1983. He was an East all-star.
Wasn't McEachern injured and not playing in the GC in 83 ? A few years later, the Argos signed another great safety from the EE in Laurent Deslaruiers (88 season where they lost to the Bummers in the East), and he only played one season for the Argos as well (retired due to injury maybe?); add in Paul Bennett (one of the greatest rookie seasons in CFL history as an Argo) - and that's 3 all-time outstanding CFL safeties - Canadians - the Argos had, but couldn't hold on to ? - disappointing back then.
McEachern started and played in the Grey Cup and the all-star game a week later. He went back to Saskatchewan in 1984 because his wife had a teaching job there, as I recall, or for some other personal reason.

Nice to see some Canadian RBs getting opportunity and pulling thru: vet T-Erlington with the Als; Adeboboye (RedBlacks) & Augustine (Ticats) - both looking better than the preferred import starters; B-Hudon for the Riders has been a powerful runner when give some shots. And rookie Peterson for the Bombers looking very strong replacing Oliveira - a former 1st team all-Canadian out of U Sports ball proving he can play in the CFL ? - gee, who knew ?

Maybe the Argos should have given draft pick Zorn some real shots at tailback instead of slotting him at the meaningless fullback spot - he might have provided some punch there, but who knows ? - Chop is mostly not much ... so far.

Chop Williams hasn't been bad when he has been given some carries but he just hasn't had enough work and then was injured in the first quarter of this game.
