However, I don't think it's necessarily a fair comparison regarding MBT. He's only played a total of around a game and a half so far (yes, the last game was a stinker for him). That being said, he's on a new team with a new coach, new receivers, etc. As you know, it takes time to get on the same page with your new teammates. This is where Arbuckle has an advantage. I think it's a joke what happened to him in Edmonton. Despite playing well on a bad team, the fans were chanting Tre Ford's name, and is then shipped out of town. Even though he is currently a backup, I don't consider him one. From 2019 to 2024 (not including 2023, when he wasn't in the league), MBT is the league leader in both TD passes and passing yards. I've always been a fan of MBT, which makes me biased to an extent. I make no apologies for this. I will however, apologize for going off topic.
It might not be fair, but I think MBT has hit a wall. Ford was a huge improvement on MBT in Ottawa, just by the fact that his mobility opened up the running game. Edmonton couldn't run the ball at all until the switch was made last year. That is why their win loss record with Ford was so much better than it was with MBT.
I have defended MBT a lot over the years. He's a much better QB than Argo fans ever gave him credit for. But I think his time is up. Just my opinion. We will see on Saturday as he gets another start.

I've always thought this about MBT: he's a much better QB than his detractors ever gave him credit for, at the same time, he's probably not as good a QB than his biggest fans give him credit for.

I could not agree more with you Will. Your statement hit the nail on the head for me. But as long as he's not starting against the Argos, I hope he does well. I have always respected him as a person.
