Too bad for Dankwah, but some possible hope for Kelly? I think him at least dressing sounds possible.

Sounds like Dinwiddie put him through extra paces to see how he was holding up. If RD thinks he can go, he'll start Saturday. Hopefully his body is good to go tomorrow after today.

Put all of the injured players from Toronto and Ottawa together and you could field a good football team. Not surprisingly they are a combined 2-10.

I like our chances Saturday. Bombers looked pretty bad last week even with Zach in there. They’re not as dangerous without Lawlor, Zach may have lost a step and the D isn’t what it used to be. Could they finish 4th in the west?

Mixed feelings about the apparent possibility of #12 returning. Exciting yes, but shouldn’t he get at least a full week of starter reps before going in? What’s his timing going to be like?

To me the big questions are the status of McManus (DNP Tuesday) and McMahon (limited). We might if we’re lucky get answers to those questions before the game.

The o-line has been bad (and at times terrible), we have no running game and now we're starting a right tackle who hasn't been through a training camp and whom any team could have signed at any time over the past six months. Y'all sure that's the situation you want to put the starting QB in?

What other option did you have in mind?

If you mean at QB, stick with Arbuckle. If you mean at OT, go with Ergle and lose an INT elsewhere.

Would you sit Kelly with Ergle at RT or Richards? Or either one?

I don't know. The run blocking has been terrible, but they are getting sacked less than 3 times a game. It can improve, but not exactly a disaster especially when considering they are behind in 4 of 6 games and they are in full pass mode and with a QB that is one of the least mobile in the league.

First of all, I would not start Kelly with any less than a full week of first-team practice reps (and full medical clearance, obviously). When everyone agrees he's healthy enough to play, I would rather see Ergle at RT than Richards. That's based not on the very little I've seen from Ergle in preseason and one RS game, but on what I saw from Richards between 2019 and 2023.

Looking increasingly doubtful Chad Kelly will start (or play) on Saturday against Winnipeg.
