Game day is here. Doesn’t matter to me how the season is going, every game day is still exciting to me.
Argos need to pressure Brown. He has thrown A lot of picks off his back foot under pressure this season. I expected more from him to be honest. Hopefully he doesn’t start to get it right today.
Nice to have Cassar back. Captain of the coverage unit.
Herslow checks in for the released Mayala, who I thought was not bad last week.
Argos we know can’t run. IMO they need to get a screen game going to slow down the rush.
Should be a fun day with beautiful HOT weather. Glad I am on the west side.

The Argos have 5 home games left starting today, and they need to win every one of them if they hope to make the playoffs. They also have 5 away games left. Based on recent play, the games against BC and Edmonton will not be easy, and they likely need to win 2 or 3 of the away games to make the playoffs.

Hopefully they come ready to play today and have not underestimated Ottawa.

I figured Red Black's would be a top team this year....really surprised how bad they are playing but...cfl very unpredictable... .this game could go either way...imo

They've been throwing out the phrase "must win" for what seems like a month now. Today's game really feels like it. Two 2-6 teams desperately needing a win. Both east teams lost this week (if we have hopes of finishing at least 2nd in the East) so we need to take care of business today. I think our upcoming schedule is Ottawa, Edmonton and then B.C. We need to win all if not 2 of the 3 games to really gain some traction.

I think it's a given that Arbuckle will throw an INT, let's hope it isn't a fatal one.

22-19 with 1 min to go in the half.

The Argos looked competent in the first quarter, and then completely disappeared in the second quarter. Ottawa had something like 16 unanswered 2nd quarter points.

Coxie has no catches and Arbuckle almost got him killed on a very half pass. They had no 1st quarter rushing yards, and maybe half a dozen in the second quarter.

18 sec to go and Argos in the red zone. Where was this offence the rest of the 2nd quarter?

So the Argos give up a massive kick return to start the second half, and Ottawa scores an easy TD as Franklin continues to be playing as if he is dazed and out to lunch (Franklin also was at fault for a score in the first half). Fortunately Ottawa shoots themselves in the foot by screwing up the extra point so the game is tied.

So Ottawa kicks off and its into the endzone so they get a point.

Both of these teams are not very good, the only question is which is worse.

Phew what a disaster. This team is done. Up by 3 TDs after 1. Morale in that locker room has to be at an all time low right now.

Defense was lit up and special teams continues to rear its ugly head.

Thia year feels cursed. I know there are nine games left, but getting back into contention feels just about impossible. Love to be proven wrong, but I'm sure not expecting it.
