It's a wonder that Pelly could keep a straight face as he justified the decision to play 3 home games in enemy territory. Isn't greed wonderful!!

The schedule did not have to be this poor.
FIFA is done by first week of July at BMO. They could have got 9 home games in. They could have played at most 4 road games and had 2 bye weeks to begin season. This is nothing more than an excuse to make more money at the expense of their team. They better put that money back into the team.

I believe the coaches and players that stay, and want to come here will be motivated to accomplish something extraordinary. Without question the worst schedule a professional football team has ever had. No cliche in their case to have an US against the World mentality. Can't wait to see them embrace it and thrive in it.

I have a simple question: Why are the games versus Saskatchewan in August and September against Winnipeg not home games instead? Wouldn't this mitigate the need to move these "Home" games out west? Does this cause more of a schedule mismatch in the league's eyes and there was opposition from the Riders, Bombers and even MLSE? Shouldn't this be asked of MLSE and the league?
Edit: After looking at the Toronto FC schedule, I noticed that they host New York City FC on August 29 when the Argos would play Saskatchewan but there is no home game on or around September 25. So what now?

The September 25th date might be open for Toronto FC Canada Cup obligations or due to the NHL starting their regular season earlier(TSN broadcast scheduling).

I like that Hamilton is in town for the CNE game. To me this has always made more sense than a Labour Day rematch.

It is what it is, and it ain't what it ain't.
We knew it wasn't going to be great so why beat a dead horse?

The Argos play only 2 of their first 12 games at home before finishing with 4 of their final 6 at home. I would be thrilled if they can go 6-6 heading into that final third of the season.

They may need to be .500 by then to have a Crack at the playoffs. Ottawa will be better, West is strong.
