A great chance for the younger players to step up and prove themselves as the starter.
A much easier assignment with Judge and Pickett lining up next to them.

Never. Not fair to him, or to his legacy as a player. He gave the Argos and us fans so much while he was here. This was a business decision, and I can only wish for the best for him.

I am not happy he signed in the Hammer, but I can understand why. He lives year round in Toronto, I believe, and this would let him play without uprooting or disrupting his family life. I cannot argue with that.

If the team runs into injuries to the LB core, it's good to know that 2 solid vets in Awe & Santos Knox are available to come in if needed.

I was joking. Scooter and Shatto already summed up my sentiment perfectly. I will add that I am going to miss the on-field interviews with the toothpick.

Kind of funny, IMO, that McManis is now calling himself "Mr. Great Business." I'm always wary of guys who attempt to develop their "brand" like that. It seems to suggest (to me, at least) a reduced focus on football. Don't get me wrong, I loved McManis when he was here, and he is a first-ballot Hall of Famer IMO. But I preferred him as just plain "Wynton."

Also a lot of standard issue sucking up to his new teams fan base which I understand but still a bit nauseating.

I am certain he called himself that last year when he was negotiating with the Argos.

If he was such a great businessman he would have held out for a fat two year contract last year instead of just the one. Hamilton obviously knows he has a home and family settled in the GTA, I wonder how much of a pay cut he took to sign there?

As mentioned elsewhere, McManis is injured again, which further explains why the Argos made the difficult decision to move on from him.
