Kelly, and the Argos, are under intense scrutiny over this situation. Anything he does, even a cryptic one-word tweet, is going to be magnified and a target for criticism. Tweets that sound angry or vindictive, such as "I'm taking receipts" are even more destructive to what he and the org should see as the essential task of rehabilitating his public image. The ONLY sensible approach for Kelly at this point is to keep his mouth shut -- and that includes his social media accounts -- and when he does finally surface, it's imperative that he say and do the right thing. Always, not just at his first media availability. Anything less than that will make him, and the Argos, a target for further condemnation. How the Argos haven't insisted he stay off social media is beyond comprehension.

I suspect you would be singing a different tune if you were accused of something and convicted based on a report you or your lawyers weren’t allowed access to, just don’t ask questions take your lumps and move on I guess correct?

If a suspension is levied based on a report on behalf of the league then the affected player and his representatives should be given full access to the report. Looks bad on the league and raises some serious questions about how they are handling this.

Not following him on social media might be easier on one's psyche, but he's not going to suddenly lose all of his followers, and some of them are going to seize on anything he does that might be interpreted as bad behaviour. Since he has shown a proclivity for saying and doing questionable things there, this just opens up him -- and the org -- to the risk of further condemnation. Hard to fathom the org being happy about that. And yet here we are.

So, let me guess - maybe the Chadster is some innocent victim of some sort of conspiracy in all this; even after the league did an investigation?
That type of viewpoint would be a lot more questionable IMO.

He should keep his big mouth shut; and he coulda offered a public apology that this whole mess affected the Argos. Both those things would have helped, lots.

Not saying that at all, when a player is suspended based on this investigation it should be made available to him, his representatives and the PA so that everything is transparent.
I guess wanting transparency is “questionable”?

im confused as to how you took my message and thought i was speaking from chad kellys point of view. im talking as a fan who is reading what other fans are saying on social media/facebook/message boards

Its more than just the league refusing to release the report to the CFLPA. Randy's recent handling of the Micro Chipped balls really puts into question his leadership capabilities.

no argument from me about that. the fact the report wasnt given to kelly and his team immediately is completely wrong
