Man, it feels like an eternity since the last home game. My co-season seat holder (twin brother) bought my mom and younger sister tickets to this one. It was before this week's sale, but I don't mind. They don't even know the nuances of the game (Canadian or American flavour), but they had a blast the other game they attended last year, and that was a loss.

I try to have the player's mind-set and not think past any given opponent, and I'm thinking a close game no matter who's on top. I'm thinking they give Dukes the first 3 drives, and if the drives stall prematurely and they are on the wrong side of the score, Arbuckle relieves him. Not exactly deep analysis, but whatever.

I remember that 2021 home opener well since it was my first game as a season seat holder. I was surprised to see them beat the defending champs that day, and am hoping for a similar outcome tomorrow.

Nice we finally have Bomber and Rider games at home. Always great atmosphere when Bombers and their fans come to town. Really looking forward to tomorrows CFL game. Go ARRGOS !!!

Watching Dukes throw Check Down after Check Down against the worst Secondary in football last week, I am disappointed he got the start tonight. Not saying Arbuckle is the long term answer, but at least he would stretch the field. Having said that I fully expect the Argos to have huge success running the ball against this Winnipeg team. Looking forward to seeing CK12 back on the field soon, but let's wait and see.

I just hope that if Dukes looks as ineffective as he did last week that Dinwiddie puts in Arbuckle sooner. It will be good to see so many Argos off the injury list and back playing tonight!

So first half ends 6 to 6 with Winnipeg loosing two fumbles and missing a field goal. The Argos have a grand total of 69 yards in the first half.
With about 5 min left in the first half, the Argos had 15 yards rushing against the worst rush defence in the CFL. Then Dan A had a good run, but nothing after that.
The only bright spot was at least Arbuckle threw the ball down the field once, although he missed badly.
At one point in the second quarter the TV briefly showed Dinwiddie yelling at someone, but the commentators ignored it so I don’t know what that was all about.

Yikes, the Argos had 69 yards offence! The Winnipeg defence was good and put some pressure on the Argos, but what is the game plan here. Awful first half for the Argos! Second week in a row where the Argos look like they should be the 3rd team in the East division.

Well, a win is a win i guess, but not a good game by the Argos in lots of areas.

Some real holes on the roster that need addressing along with some offensive play-calling.

Franklin needs to be replaced at CB - get somebody else in there, like Jamie Harry.

MacKellar continues to be a matador/ whiff in pass blocking - try somebody else, or else go with way more ground game.

I get going to Arbuckle to see if he could upgrade on what Dukes was doing, but why stick with him when he is next to useless ? Back to Dukes and let him scramble plus go to more ground game (both Carey & the explosive Adebobye) could have easily won this game IMO.

D is pretty solid outside of some weak secondary play, but miss the pass rush of Flo O.

That win was ugly with a capital "U". Defense was lights on but the offense is a mess. 5 turnovers I think it was we got and we only have that return TD to show for it. Arbuckle sure as hell didn't win the starting QB role. I thought the ref gave us a generous spot late in the 4th when the Bombers failed to convert looked like he reached the marker. Nonetheless, this win is nothing to write home about but a win is a win. Not a fan of Dukes going to the side on that third down sneak attempt that could have maybe iced the game for us in the 4th.

So Winnipeg beat themselves with turnovers and two missed field goals, and the Argos defence basically wins this game for them.
Of course this was against a Winnipeg offence missing their best receivers, and which hadn't scored a touchdown in something like 25 possessions. The defence was pretty good for the most part....Franklin only had one brain fart that led to a Winnipeg touchdown. I wonder if McManis is hurt as he was hardly involved. On the Winnipeg 3rd and 1 play in the last minute he was no where near the ball carrier.
The offence was not inside the red zone once all game. Pathetic.
The Argos were pretty much penalty free till the last couple of min of the game, when they took what could have been costly penalties. They almost managed to loose the game.
It's hard to imagine this offence managing to score enough points to split wins with Calgary, and Trevor Harris will likely be back for the Sask game.

Be happy with the win, everyone.

They had one bust (I.e., miscommunication) on defence and we can't just assume it was Franklin's fault. The defence, otherwise, was nothing short of outstanding and the spot on the failed 3rd and 1 by Winnipeg was spot-on.

Yes, something needs to be done on offence. I think, at this point, that Dukes has lost some confidence. At least Arbuckle didn't turnover the ball tonight, but I would really like to see Bryan Scott get a chance.

Overall though, 4-3 at this point isn't bad and even a split with Calgary would put them at 5-4 at the halfway point. Given all of the challenges they have faced with injuries and the Chad Kelly mess, I think we should all be happy with that.
