He's had some success as a coach without taking on the GM role as well.

Good DC, lousy HC.
I think he’s a bad GM
Maybe Jones is a good coach and should focus on just coaching the defence and not worrying about player personnel or who starts etc. Similar to his role with the Browns.
Absolutely. His problem as a GM is that his roster turnover in season is ridiculously huge. If he's just a coach, the GM he reports to would likely not share that philosophy.

The Ticats 2024 season bore some resemblance to the 2012 season. In 2012, they scored the most points in the league but Casey Creehan's defence allowed the most so the Ticats wasted a strong statistical performance from Henry Burris to go 6-12 and miss the playoffs. In 2024, the Ticats scored the third most points in the league and Bo Levi Mitchell broke Burris' yardage record from 2012 but the Ticats ended up with a disappointing 7-11 record and miss the playoffs. The Ticats, as in 2012, allowed the most points in the league.
Their final offensive possession of the 2024 season was a fitting end to another lost season in Hamilton.

It's all Tim Whites fault if Bo doesn't win MOP!

That 2012 team started the season 3-2, which included a 36-27 win over the Argos, so it wasn't a weak start that did in the 2012 Tiger-Cats. The turning point was a 31-20 loss to Calgary in the rain at Ivor Wynne and Bruce John Inch opening his mouth up about the Argos in the old SOBs of the CFL group.

White was up there with Mo Mann for most drops by a receiver I've ever seen in a CFL season.

I’m sure Dwight Edwards has the record for drops to catches ratio.

Nice, He had great skills, but dropped a lot of balls. He loved to play football. Played semi pro long after he was done in the CFL.

Edwards definitely struggled catching the ball early in his career. He was a useful role player for the Argos by the end of his career though (1986-88).
