In the case of the Bell commercial that's not true though and Bell is making more money selling ad space for CFL games than Raptors games. And it's always been that way except for their championship run maybe. I am sure the ad execs in Toronto probably don't know who the Argos are, or what the CFL are, but somebody sure the hell does at Bell because they are about to broadcast one of the top 1, 2 or 3 largest TV events of the year in 6 days. This is just another example of people being really bad at their jobs.AngeloV wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 9:08 pmThey are also endorsing products of American companies. Hoping for a different result with the #2 QB having to start than in 2007, though.bluto wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 8:55 am I largely agree with the ideas and sentiments throughout the thread so I'll just add one extra impression that I came away with: Jason Maas is good.
He had us completely Scoobied in the first half. Here's hoping that Coach Mace passes Coach Din his notes this week and Mass doesn't do the same favor for Osh.
There's a sense of fate here for me and it is just weird, man. 2007 Bombers won the East final against the Argos but lost starting QB Kevin Glenn after he was tackled by LB Kevin Eiben who is now the Argos Co-DC. Glenn was not available for the Grey Cup to play against their hated rivals the Riders. They had to start their inexperienced backup QB Ryan Dinwiddie, who now coaches the Argos against the Bombers who will be coached by the guy who was the 07 Argos team captain for that game, Mike O'Shea.

You couldn't convince me that we neither have a more talented, deeper team than Winnipeg nor that Dinwiddie isn't a better coach than O'Shea. Will wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:38 amHoping for a different result with the #2 QB having to start than in 2007, though.bluto wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 8:55 am I largely agree with the ideas and sentiments throughout the thread so I'll just add one extra impression that I came away with: Jason Maas is good.

We're in with a chance. Defence and STs need to show up big for us. #3 has a glorious opportunity to stick it to them too.

Not sure if fate or just a bunch of GOBS getting jobs.bluto wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 8:55 am I largely agree with the ideas and sentiments throughout the thread so I'll just add one extra impression that I came away with: Jason Maas is good.

Ryan Dinwiddie was a raw rookie in 2007 who only threw 25 passes that year. The Grey Cup was his first start as a pro. Arbuckle has substantially more experience and even took some snaps in the 2018 Grey Cup.Will wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:38 amHoping for a different result with the #2 QB having to start than in 2007, though.bluto wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 8:55 am I largely agree with the ideas and sentiments throughout the thread so I'll just add one extra impression that I came away with: Jason Maas is good.

1.71 Million watched East Final up from 1.35 Million last year. The Leafs Habs game was 1.4 Million. Raptors average 156,000. WHY ARE THEIR PLAYERS ON NATIONAL ADS? AND NOT CFL PLAYERS? SOMEBODY SHOULD LOSE THEIR JOB OVER THIS.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2024 9:12 amIn the case of the Bell commercial that's not true though and Bell is making more money selling ad space for CFL games than Raptors games. One major factor of course being that the Raptors have the entire Cdn market to themselves. Plus they appeal to a young, desirable demographic. Several Raptors have been in national ad campaigns in recent years.
