Nice to see Hamilton get raided. Looks like the boarded up TV repair shop on Barton street is no longer a selling point when it comes to retaining FAs.
My fav pizza place across the street on Barton called MaiPai is still a selling point though! Highly recommend.

Priester is meh for me. He was inconsistent here, and IMO doesn't have a natural position. I suppose he will go back to being a backup to Pickett and a special-teamer (and should have been paid accordingly).
Agreed; and he got burnt bad trying to cover in Ottawa's useless secondary. IF he gets paid even a little more than a rookie (like a draft pick who can play STs with vigor), then I don't get it.

3 Down says Argos to sign veteran Canadian D-lineman Jon Kongbo = good move IMO - can play both DE or DT in the D-line rotation.

Dejon Brissett has reportedly agreed to terms with Calgary. Hamilton is reportedly pushing hard to sign Wynton McManis.

Losing Brissett is hard. He is a local player that has developed here, and really come into his own now. Always able to make a big time play or catch when needed.
If McManis goes to Hamilton that will be hard to swallow. Karma for Mike O'Shea.

Worth noting that Paris Shand's stay with the UFL's Columbus Aviators lasted a very short time as he has been released from his contract. I wonder if Jim Barker had a chat and talked some sense into Shand. We shall see if he soon signs with Toronto. If so, the Argos would be well-positioned to have Jeremiah Ojo, Shand, and Jonathan Kongbo rotate at defensive end and Luigi Vilain might still come aboard, too.

There's lots of potential there, but two of those guys have yet to establish themselves as regular rotational pieces on a CFL defence, and two have yet to set foot on a CFL field. If DE is one of Toronto's seven, eight or nine NAT positions this year, there will be a significant gamble attached to it, IMO. And of course at this point neither Shand nor Vilain is on the roster.

They might need to take that gamble. I don't think the FA choices at DE are/were particularly appealing.
