CFL.ca transactions report that the Argos have signed unheralded WR Marquis McLean of Auburn U via the IFL Jacksonville Sharks to a Futures Contract.
They should start him ahead of Herslow this week. Wait..Coxie probably back.
Futures Contract indicates McLean will not join the team until the 2025 season unless he ends up being cut prior to TC. I don't think he is eligible to play this season AV.
The term "futures contract" has been used in the NFL for some time but this is the first year I have heard the term used in the CFL. I assume that a player on a futures contract can still land an NFL job before his CFL contract kicks in.

Argos announced it quite a while ago. 3DN did not get a scoop on this.

I do wonder if bridges were burned and no more scoops are coming in. I stopped paying attention to 3DN.

The defence that I just watched win a Grey Cup lost Corey Mace, Adarius Pickett, Jamal Peters, Quan'tez Stiggers, Dewayne Hendrix and Brandon Barlow last off season.
I'm not making any kind of point for discussion here, I just wanted to type that.

Not enough is said about what a great job Dinwiddie , Pinball and the personnel team have done here. I still shake my head at the idiots that constantly say Dinwiddie is not a good coach.

Sssshhhhhh, AV, we need to keep this narrative going so that no one else figures out that Dinwiddie can actually coach. Otherwise, we might lose him down south.
