.Mital is showing more and more of his potential. Still like to see him play at 220 rather than 229
If he can stay with the Argos IMO. Reminds me a bit of Posey. I want to see Mital go more vertical. Curious what he can do. Not sure how many snaps he took other than the ones he caught the ball going across.
He took a lot of snaps (well, a lot considering they only ran 38 plays on offence). He and Brissett appeared to be alternating at the most inside SB on the wide side

Mital has almost TE size (along with 4.58 speed plus a good vertical and excellent 3 Cone quickness # at CFL Combine), so maybe they see him as more of a short pass, dump-off and let him rumble at tacklers, rather than much of a downfield threat. But the best receivers can do it all, including getting deep, so maybe they try him some on deeper routes in the future (and BTW what type of pass/pattern was it in the 2nd ex. game where he scored an 80 yard TD ?).

He did get to play in his rookie season for the Argos who drafted him, so that might bode well for him staying with the team. But if he does not get a bigger role down the road, wonder if he might be looking at playing back in Quebec ?

Just chiming in late on the big playoff win. That was so much fun to experience live. So many touchdowns, so many awesome efforts on both sides.
Some excellent posts by the ArgoFans gang, loved reading them all.
I must say how thoroughly entertained I was. Got your money's worth for sure. 18,000 people had a good time!
Took me back to 1990 when Coach Matthews, Dunigan, Foggie, Clemons, Masotti etc. put up 70 points.

Section 124 was ROCKIN'. So glad to have my brother there with me from Kaw. Lakes, he had a great time.
Thank you Argos for a solid 7&2, plus playoff 8&2, home season. GO ARGOS! :P

Really enjoyed game...Both sides had some really good plays. Think games like this will continue to help our fanbase grow.... organically... was nice to see most of the stadium full most of the time.... Was thinking while on the street car what that ride would have been like in the 60's.... Think Ottawa needs to find a running game.... Shout out to all the CFL fans and ARGO supporters for an enjoyable playoff game.... Go ARRGOS !!!!

Just wanted to respond to the last two posts from ARGOFanIan and TrueBlueGuy.

You are both SO right. It was a great atmosphere, and a fantastically entertaining game. In my section, fans literally jumped out of their seats on some of the big plays, and the TV replays showed the same thing when I re-watched the game. How anyone could go down there and not have a great time is hard to imagine.

AND YET.... on my way home on the GO train, when I went to get off, there was a guy wearing a Buffalo Bills cap who saw me in my Argo gear, and the first thing he says is "it's been 40 years since my last CFL game and it will probably another 40 years until I go again". I asked him what he was talking about, and he said something about it being bush league with no defense. So I said that he probably preferred that juggernaut of a game between the Jets and Texans, or the Browns and anybody.... no response. And then no response again when I said if the Bills beat the Bengals 41 - 38, he would say it was the greatest display of offensive football ever. A nice enough guy, in the end, we parted on good enough terms but for the life of me, I just don't get the attitude some people have about the CFL. Great athletes playing at a super high level delivering a fantastic product.

NFL fan-boy wannabeness is a disease in this country, and has spread like wildfire in certain parts of our map.

Nice to have a civil discussion with the guy, but nothing you could say is going to change the mind of most of those gullible dupes & ignoramuses - who have been led like sheep or lemmings by much of our media up here, for decades.

You're a lot more diplomatic than I am. I would have told him "nobody cares" before he could even finish his sentence.

OK it didn't happen the way that I expected that it would in my mind... but the net result was the same.

At the half when the defence realized that they needed to disrupt Brown's internal timer and that rushing just the front 4 was not doing it, sending blitzes lowered the Redblacks efficiency to a point where they weren't just stringing together 10+ play drives anymore.

If we aren't hurrying Fajardo and he is doing that to us this weekend, we'll need to make that adjustment before halftime.

I expect Montreal to go heavy on the WR screens, and then pump and go deep. That is basically their offensive game. Got to stop the screens, and the rest will fall into place.

Basically an all-pass offence anyways (Fletcher is good back and they run him some, but ...) - I wonder if they might look at the tape of what Ottawa just did to the Argo defence and try some of that spread 6 pack; they have receivers pretty well equal to the RedBlacks group and Fajardo has way more experience than Brown plus is a real run threat. Whatever they do, I just hope the Argo D will make some real adjustments or changes to cope; sitting back in soft zone coming up to make soft tackles is not good enough IMO.
