JC Abbott - from 3 Down - has a different list with some U Sports guys added (but no Yazbeck included); Abbott gets to attend and will report as he has in the past (i find him quite condescending & dismissive of U Sports talent at times, but at least he reports)

OV Argo i saw that. I wonder what happened to Yazbeck? Looking forward to his reporting on Monday. Here is the 3 Down article you mentioned.

If you go to the CGS website, can't seem to find a roster, but there is some sort of list of players - maybe prospects that were named in some sort of nomination process ? Yazbeck is on that list and so is Guelph O-lineman Hocevar, but Abbott does not mention them.

Devin Veresuk,LB,Windsor
Darrien Newell, DT, Queens
Jackson Findlay, DB, Western

From Emory Hunts report:
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/new ... tar-event/

OLB Devin Veresuk
Height: 6-foot-1
Weight: 236 pounds
School: Windsor

Another Canadian prospect I got a chance to see back in the spring was Veresuk. He's got very good athleticism and more than held his own in coverage against tight ends. Also during 9-on-7s, he was able to fit the run well, making plays at or behind the line of scrimmage.

From JC Abbots report.

Darrien Newell, DT, Queens

Queen’s University defensive tackle Darien Newell was an absolute wrecking ball during Saturday’s pass rush one-on-ones, violently knocking back opponents regardless of the logo on their helmets. At six-foot-three and 298 pounds, the three-time All-Canadian showed special twitch at his size and NFL calibre power, which resulted in an interview with the New England Patriots. I fully expect the Brampton, Ont. product to be one of the biggest stars at the CFL National Combine and will be flabbergasted if he isn’t a first-round selection come May.

Jackson Findlay, DB, Western

Western safety Jackson Findlay, the top-rated U Sports prospect in the September Scouting Bureau rankings, lived up to the billing and showed exceptional range. Some team is going to fall in love with the aspiring doctor from North Vancouver and use a high pick to make him the fourth generation of his family to play in the CFL.
Well, it's possible I guess. Newell & Veresuk are ultra long-shots for NFL interest IMO; Findlay is a definite maybe IF he really runs a sub 4.4 forty live in front of some NFL scouts. Elgersma is a very long-shot too IMO. And the most any of these guys can hope for IMO is a one day, Mickey Mouse NFL rookie mini camp look.

Meanwhile, they should all be likely first round CFL draft picks - Findlay & Newell are possibilities there, IMO, but there are a number of US college ball Div I defensive players already in the CFL Scouting Bureau Top 20 list, and these guys are much favored over U Sports products by the typical CFL draft "thinker".

Hec & Vanier winning QB Adam Sinagra was on that CFL Scouting Bureau top 20, and ended up not drafted, AT ALL, by the usual suspect CFL "scouts" = totally snubbed - don't be surprised to see the same fate for Elgersma.
