If they can do that they may be able to rest some players against Edmonton in the last week. Providing Ottawa lose to Montreal on Monday which I expect. Montreal need a game to flex their muscles at home so they can rest players leading into the East Final. They haven't had a complete game in months it seems. Crushing Ottawa is just the ticket.
Agree on all your points...and rest assured, the Alouettes WILL severely crush Ottawa on Monday.
I hope so. I have a dilemma here. I played all 4 CFL games on a parlay in FanDuel. I am 3 for 3 right now. Need the Als to win by 6 for $151 on my $10 bet. FanDuel is offering me $67 to cash out now. What should I do???
Go for the $151. Alexander will look to add more film. Ottawa is also missing their best receiver in Hardy for this game. Sold out in Montreal.

These are the scenarios as I understand them:

If Montreal wins today then the Argos clinch second with a win on Saturday. If Ottawa wins today then the Redbacks can clinch second with a win on Saturday.

Ottawa lost. But Montreal mailed it in. C'mon Argo fans make some noise in the playoffs. Both these teams are beatable.

Yes they are, the Argos can compete favourably with any CFL team but consistency has been an issue all season.

With the impending takeover of MLSE by Rogers, the Argos are back to the days where on field success is imperative to the survival of the franchise.

Get that home playoff date and just keep winning.

Should the Argos beat Ottawa, that will be 3 wins in a row and 4 of last 5. They will be in playoff mode ready to lay lumber on Redblacks and Alouettes.

I really hope RD rests a whole bunch of starters in the final meaningless game against the EE. An injury to the likes of Kelly, McManis or Carey would spell disaster.

And the 4th quarter of the game today gives me real bad vibes for the East Semi; still believe the Argos should win big, but the RedBlacks were given hope with the way Brown and that pop-gun offence lit up the Argos D in the 2nd half =not acceptable IMO.

I feel really good about the Argos going into the playoffs. I think it should be noted the Argos finished 8-3 (5-1 with Kelly starting) against playoff bound teams. The 3 losses to Hamilton and 1 to Calgary really soiled their record this season, and killed them in their quest for a 4th straight year hosting the eastern final.

With a week to give some guys a rest and to bring back some of the wounded and get them reps in Edmonton, we should finally be playing the first choice players that this team was built to have on the field.
The Chad is playing like an MOP behind the best O-Line, best rushing attack and a group of receivers who can beat you all over the field. The defence has a ferocious pass rush, a stout run defence and athletes in the backfield who can pretty much fly. The special teams has two weeks to drill down and not have another game like this past weekend and has the best Kicker/Punter/Returner combo in the league.

We're going to murder Ottawa.

Lock the thread, Will.
