Argos signed former Bomber Donald Rutledge. Possible replacement if Amos leaves in free agency, I imagine.
Possible.
It should be noted that Rutledge also played SAM for Winnipeg in 2022.
R. Kramdi played SAM almost all season long for the Bummers last year so like the Argos with Adeleke saw a Canadian playing a position usually reserved for imports;; but Rutledge did post 58 tackles, 2 sacks and one INT for the Bombers in 2022, so made some plays on D. Went down to the UFL or whatever it is the past couple of seasons. Good size for S-OLB or DB and some pretty decent testing #s at his Pro Day out of college ball. Might be a good add or fit for the Argo D.

I noted that Smith was on the Roughriders practice roster, but also continued to play with the Thunder at the same time.

Stephen Smith would be an excellent FB candidate.

Why not sign or draft a real, experienced fullback if u need one, rather than converting a linebacker ?

I didn't even realize that was possible.

It appears that J Dunk has reported the Argos have signed McManis. If true it is a great signing.

Someone stumbled upon the extension announcement from January, 2024 and somehow thought it was current news. I have not seen any reports anywhere else to suggest that McManis has been re-signed.
