Stop following him on social media. Problem solved.
That would make too much sense.
Not following him on social media might be easier on one's psyche, but he's not going to suddenly lose all of his followers, and some of them are going to seize on anything he does that might be interpreted as bad behaviour. Since he has shown a proclivity for saying and doing questionable things there, this just opens up him -- and the org -- to the risk of further condemnation. Hard to fathom the org being happy about that. And yet here we are.
I think you are making way too big a deal about this. Why you felt you had to make a new thread about this is puzzling to me.

Here's why. Chad Kelly is one of the highest-paid players in the league, has been declared the "face of the franchise," was supposed to be the focal point of the team's marketing campaign, and is serving a suspension that might (or might not) be commuted after nine games, depending on whether or not he meets conditions established by the league. Still unknown is how the Argos organization will react if and when his suspension is commuted. There's little doubt the league and the Argos are paying attention to how he behaves during this period. So are some fans.
Since this mess blew up, Kelly has done some things publicly (social media posts as well as an unexpected appearance at rookie camp) that have brought about condemnation from around the league, including some (but obviously not all) fans of the Argonauts. Anything he does publicly until his suspension is dealt with (and presumably afterwards) is going to come under close scrutiny. It would be foolish IMO to think that simply ignoring them (or anything he does) is going to make the situation any better.
For the record, I initially set out to mention the tweets in the ongoing Kelly thread, but it was lost when the forum went down. Hence a new thread for what I consider newsworthy information. Anyone who does not consider it newsworthy is welcome to ignore it.

Well said Paul - this is obviously why it matters. Kelly may not be happy with how things turned out, but he agreed to follow the terms of the suspension, has claimed that he wants to continue to play for the Argos, so he should just keep his head down, keep a low profile and complete the conditions established by the league. If he is unable to do this, it could not only hurt or end his CFL career, but it will continue to damage the Argos organization and team, who despite criticism by many have stood by him. That's my main problem with Kelly that in the long run, despite his talent, he might end up doing more harm than good for the Argonauts.

The team very easily could have shifted their marketing to Flo Orimilade and Wynton McManis. They chose not to. That’s not Kelly’s fault.
I just think and a few others, are piling on here. I guess it’s the east thing to do. I won’t change my opinion that there is way more to this story than most know. Kelly was an east target to this person who apparently has never heard of Human Resources and instead gets a lawyer to go for a big pay day. But I guess we are suppose to be programmed to believe all accusations in 2024. I’d hate to be in a car accident with her driving the other vehicle. There’s a frivolous lawsuit just waiting to come out.

More than one thing can be true at the same time. From the information I have seen about this entire mess, it seems likely that:
1) Chad Kelly behaved inappropriately
2) There may or may not be a relationship/friendship between AJ Ouellette and the complainant which may have raised Kelly's ire because he wanted a relationship with the complainant but she wasn't interested in him and may instead have been more interested in AJ. That's still no excuse for Kelly's behaviour towards her (according to the executive summary of the investigation)
3) Kelly should be able to see the full investigative report, rather than just the executive summary and it's possible that has happened by now
4) Kelly has a history of exhibiting bad judgment and impulsive and immature behaviour and his actions on social media don't exactly run counter to that history.
If Chad Kelly wants (yet) another chance, then he needs to take this counselling seriously and start acting his age. Staying off social media until his suspension is over would be wise. I don't think that's too much for some to be asking for.

I really don't know what to think on this one.
I ignore the social warriors that came down with great righteousness against Kelly. I ignore those who said everything was ok here too.
The CFL communications publicly condemned Kelly on social media right after it came to light that a number of women at HQ quit because of the CFL handling of Kelly.
Shortly afterwards, CFL communications drooled over a famous rapper featured at a BC Lions game. The same rapper had a number of allegations of sexual assaults. The rapper became the face of CFL football that week. CFL social media temporarily became a personal platform for the love of this rapper.
I now understand some players and coaches think the Kelly is a fiasco and is BS.
Remind me again what he did? I understand he violated CFL policy about respectful behaviour towards others. I understand it was a first offence too.
Kelly is currently undergoing re-education. I see this as an out for the league. They could say he hasn't suitably come around to their point of view and be banned for life.
The PA can't get the report that damned him? Kelly can't get the report that damned him?
A guilty verdict without the evidence to coming light?
Kelly's return isn't carved in stone. Will it be at the whim of the commissioner, of the CFL communications department?
What a joke. This speaks as poorly of the CFLPA and as the CFL.
Never give the lynch mob. They don't negotiate. They lynch first, then explain later.

One of the most sensible and well stated posts on this topic, truth is none of us know what actually transpired but Kelly was deemed guilty right from the get go and vilified by some on this forum.
Nobody in there right mind condones harassment of any kind but the amount of vitriol thrown his way by people who know none of the facts (including some on this forum) was over the top.
If you dare question what actually happened or the fact the league refused to turn over the complete investigative report to Kelly, his representatives or the PA your views are seen as “questionable” which is a joke.
My last point is I have faith in the fact the Pinball and the organization seem to be standing by Kelly at this time, things could change down the road but this speaks volumes to me.

I assume you meant to say that I am one of those "piling on," and that it's the "easy" (not east, obviously) thing to do. What would you suggest I should have done? Stop being deeply concerned about the starting QB facing an indefinite suspension that might -- or might not -- be commuted, IF he satisfies the commissioner he has learned his lesson? A lot of Argo fans seem to believe reinstatement is certain; I think it's very much an open question at this point. If I were Randy Ambrosie, tweets like the ones Kelly just issued would not exactly inspire confidence that he has changed. Or should I keep tabs on what he's up to publicly, but not post about it so that folks don't have to stick their fingers in their ears and sing la-la-la-I-am-not-listening?
There are Argo fans who are really uncertain how they will respond if he gets back onto the active roster. Some of them might feel inclined to turn away from the team. For those individuals, however few in number they might be, tweets like these are troubling. Not posting about it on this forum doesn't make that go away.

Maybe I’m just old fashioned but Kelly had a gf IIRC and Ouellette has a wife. A supposed love quarrel is straight from a soap opera.
I have no idea if Kelly is guilty or not, but from the start this did not look anything near being a sexual harassment and smelled a bit fishy getting the team dragged for not hot rehiring her. But my biggest problem with Kelly is that his behaviour on twitter makes him look guilty in what the report accused him for. He is poor in regulating his emotions and keeping his mouth shut. If he’s gonna tweet cryptic and weird messages or have strange IG videos, I can see him flipping out on this trainer at breakfast and making comments publicly on the team bus.

SO Ravi; once Kelly and his lawyers and the Argos brass and the CFLPA/union get a hold of the full investigative report, that should lead to an exoneration of any/all his behavior on this file - he was totally innocent and basically rail-roaded by some gold-digger ? That seems to be what some want to believe?
Yeah, we don't know all the story; but in some cases like this, on a sensitive subject of the times, @$$-hat, boorish or misogynist behavior gets you fired and a ticket out of town, not a few months suspension. And all sorts of scrutiny for pro athletes nowdays - know it /deal with it - is part of the deal - big-mouth social media clown acting does not help.
And IMO BC & Doman were wrong to bring in a clown / gangsta wannbe like 50 cent -who has shown similar macho, $hit-head, misogynist bent ways - as an act to promote their team. Just like the Argos (including Pinball) are dead wrong if they have Kelly's back - just because / good old boy stuff - if they know he engaged in some real idiot / spoiled little pri^k behavior.
