Next 4 games are not easy....Winnipeg, Calgary twice, Sask......all teams that look better than Hamilton. They could be 3 and 7 by the time Kelly comes back, if he does.
I am not panicking over our upcoming schedule -- Winnipeg is beatable at home, CGY at McMahon is tough for Argos I'll admit, but CGY aren't world beaters either. Kelly could, in theory, return for that Sask game at home.

I hate seeing the Argos lose to Hamilton! Too many mistakes. It's frustrating that both this and the Riders game were very winnable and yet they cost themselves the win.

So, does Dukes start next week? He's got to get more aggressive with some deeper throws.

I’d start Arbuckle.
Makes quick reads and gets rid of the ball with authority.

The throws are there, but you have to have the confidence and ability to make them. Dukes is too scared. His scrambling ability gets him out of a lot of trouble. I was critical of MBT’s deep ball. Dukes throws lame ducks with zero zip. It’s far too easy to game-plan him now. You see an immediate difference with Arbuckle and his best days are past. This offence is so boring and feels like it’s stuck in a low gear.

Hard to say Arbuckle’s best days are behind him. He’s only 30, which are prime years for a QB. Since the Argos traded him, he’s played on 2 really bad teams. His best football has come under Dinwiddie. I wouldn’t want him as my #1, but a placeholder until Kelly returns seems to be a good fit. He’s a perfect back up QB IMO.

I hate to write Dukes off, but the film is out on him, and as I said, you can’t win consistently without at least challenging downfield.

I feel confident that the Argos will be no worse than 5-5 after these next four games.

The defence played quite well IMO. Hamilton’s offence has been pretty good this year and the D held them to 1 TD drive (blocked punt 11 yard TD drive is not on them)

It’s clear the only reason the Argos lost was because they didn’t have a QB that could do what every other team has done to Hamilton so far. Attack their weak secondary down field. I have been on team Dukes. Met him and really like him. But he’s not ready to start this many games in a row. The book is out on him. Play your secondary tight and dare him to throw down field.

I am still irked by Litre grabbing and tearing off Grant’s hair. I know it’s legal but he targeted the hair and it was intentional. A piece of shit play by a marginal football player,

I think is becoming more clear that Dukes is best suited as a backup QB in the CFL.
Looking forward to getting Chad Kelly back as the Argonauts starting QB.

You and me both. And I’m sure Pinball and the coaching staff.
