Happy for Masoli and Ottawa fans. That team has been bad since 2019.
A Kelly led Argo team will beat Ottawa, but Ottawa are for real. They are playing good defense, special teams, and are moving the ball on offence with diverse weapons. They now have a good QB room.
Impressed with how Masoli made good decisions with the ball. Given that he really hasn't played for 2 years.

I take back what I said about Ottawa earlier this season. They're alright.

Props to Masoli. He looks leaner following this injury compared to the last one.
Looking forward to playing them the game after Labour Day.

It was so nice to see Masoli back and to play so well and to get the win on his first game back. I thought he looked great considering he hasn't played in quite awhile. Ottawa looks pretty good this year!

7-2-1
Those 2 games vs. The Argos in Sept and Oct loom large for 2nd place.
I have been watching CFL since 1973. I don't think I have ever seen the top 3 East teams all with better records than every team in the West.

After tonight, I have to admit that the Redblacks are a strong team this year.

Yes they certainly are, a very resilient team that believes in themselves.

I'll, begrudgingly, admit that they're good. Hopefully we can still take care of business against them.

We’ll have to see how they do on the road. Like the Argos, they have 5 of their last 8 on the road including at BC, Toronto, Montreal and Saskatchewan. I have full confidence that the Argos will dominate down the stretch, but they have a bit of a nasty stretch of 3 road games in 11 days coming up, the last 2 at Ottawa and BC. Beating Ottawa specifically will be key to hosting a playoff game.

Sign of a good team is finding ways to win and Ottawa is doing that.
I still don;t think they are anywhere near as good as their record; Dru Brown has been a good game manager though and has some good receivers to target; that RB Armstead runs hard at times but is basically mediocre; on defence, they have a few good players but then lots of holes.
IF the Argos don't come in here on Sept. 7 and lay a decent beating on the RedBlacks then I will be convinced the Argos are not very good; the injury riddled Saskatchewan B & C team managed to tie Ottawa's almost 100% healthy A team in that weird ending game recently. Kelly should be able to light up that holey Ottawa secondary, and Dru Brown & Condell's simple safe offence can be picked off & sacked lots.
