With Ottawa getting dismantled today on the West Coast, it could potentially set up a huge game when the Argos visit our Nations Capitol on the 7th. A win on Labour Day would also prevent Hamilton from taking the tie breaker in event the teams are even at the end of the season.

I don't think the Ticats are catching the Argos regardless but if the Argos win on Monday, they will be 5 games up on Hamilton and the Ticats will only have 6 games left.

Of more importance is getting the win tomorrow to put the Argos in position to eventually pass Ottawa and hopefully host a playoff game this fall.

Agreed. No 3rd place team in the East has made it to the Grey Cup since 1970 so history suggests that finishing at least 2nd is critical. I would love to see the Argos host the East Final again but that will be difficult to achieve. I am confident they can win in Montreal if they have to.

Montreal is going to go through what Toronto went through last year -- clinching way too early. Wonder if they learned any lessons from that. Not playing a meaningful game for two months (and winning anyway) sure didn't help the Argos last year when a winner-take-all game came along.
As improbable as it might seem, Hamilton is still solidly in contention for a crossover spot, so they have a lot to play for on Labour Day.

RedBlacks winning at home this season; Argos need to change that and with a big statement.
RedBlacks yesterday vs. BC was more like what that team is IMO. A simple safe passing offence with an average game manager of a QB and a sub-par RB who wouldn't make another team in the league. And their secondary is so full of holes and exploitable, it's obvious as hell.
Argos need to go into Ottawa next Saturday and expose them for what they are as BC did yesterday. And please no feeble x days of rest excuse when the Argos are playing just down the road from home on Monday and the RedBlacks will have had to travel to the furthest part of the country and back.

How about we worry about the Labour Day game first, take care of business there, before thinking ahead to next week?
I like Dinwiddie's approach of going 1 - 0 each week. That's what they have to do.

You're right. I got caught up in the excitement.

Ugh, looks like it's going to be one of those games...
Dline keeps getting tricked. DBs are wimpy and getting pushed around. Nobody can tackle. They're all doing those body check tackles and the ticats are bouncing right off. Nobody's wrapping up. Most plays, half of our defenders are flat on their backs.
Good grief...
