OL(A) Ryan Coll, 6'5", 325. Was a Falcon and a Colt last year. Played Centre at Indy. Was a Tackle in college. Also played tight end and d-line.

Ryan Coll has been released. I kid you not.
I’m sure I speak for all of us at Argofans by thanking Ryan for his service to the Argos and wishing him the best in his future endeavours.
According to Jim Barker, those endeavors will be with the St Louis Battlehawks of the UFL. Appears Cole requested his release in order to sign with that organization.

Huge, and fantastic, news:

ARGONAUTS RE-SIGN GLOBAL PUNTER JOHN HAGGERTY

TORONTO – The Toronto Argonauts Football Club announced today that the team has re-signed Global punter John Haggerty.
Haggerty (6'5"/225lbs) was East Division All-CFL in 2024 after posting the second-best punt average in the CFL (50.3), a career-high for the Australian-born punter. The Western Kentucky alum also had a league-high 88-yard punt in a week nine tilt vs Calgary. Haggerty led the CFL in punt average in 2023 at 48.0 and was All-Division in 2022. The former Pro-Kick Australia attendee was drafted fourth overall in the 2022 CFL Global Draft and over three seasons in Double Blue, has posted a punting average of 48.9 yards on 260 punts across 47 regular-season games. He is a two-time Grey Cup champion, starting in both games in 2022 and 2024.

The best punter in the CFL.
By far the best Punter in the league for the past couple years. This signing will no doubt change the strategy for the upcoming Global Draft.

I am very relieved that they re-signed Haggerty. I was not confident in going with Jeremy Edwards in 2025.

Very happy with this. He tilts the field in Argos favor with his punting strength and accuracy. I am quite surprised no other team took a run at him. Their loss.
Hopefully John Haggerty and the Beaver Brown Band can finally play a post game concert at BMO.

A huge re-signing and I agree that he's the best punter in the league - better than Jake Julien. It's difficult to understand why an NFL team wouldn't sign Haggerty, but, selfishly, I am okay with that.

Don Landry's take on our Depth Chart as it stands:
OFFENCE
Receiver Damonte Coxie, DaVaris Daniels, Dejon Brissett*, David Ungerer III*, Kevin Mital *
Running Back Ka’Deem Carey
QuarterBack Chad Kelly
Fullback Bruno LaBelle*
Offensive Line Ryan Hunter* (LT), Dylan Giffen* (LG), Darius Ciraco* (C), Peter Nicastro* (RG), George Moore (RT)

* denotes National
** denotes Global
DEFENCE
Defensive Back Benjie Franklin (CB), Tarvarus McFadden (CB), Darrius Bratton (HB), Mark Milton (HB), Tyshon Blackburn* (FS)
Linebacker Cameron Judge* (WLB), Wynton McManis (MLB), Quincy Mauger (SAM)
Defensive Line Bryan Cox (DE), Derek Parrish (DE), Anthony Lanier II (DT), Jordan Williams (DT)
SPECIAL TEAMS
Kicker Lirim Hajrullahu*
Punter John Haggerty**
Long Snapper Adam Guillemette*
Returner Janarion Grant

I have no information about Bruno LaBelle's viability as a short yardage guy... does anybody think that he may be the solution to our multi-season goal line offence woes?

Labelle was a tight end in Div I US college ball; have no idea if he could line-up under C for short yardage duty, but Mackie (BC) & M-Litre (Ticats) sure were good at it last season, and the CFL is a copy-cat league, so ... could also find a big QB to do that role but that might mean replacing Dukes as 3rd stringer ?

Lots of competition is needed to put together a strong D again. Hoping it will be ex-Bomber Rutledge over Mauger at S-OLB, and vet C. Evans should be able to claim a job (over Milton at D-half perhaps?). D-line should be decided by lots of fierce TC competition; aside from Lanier's one big season with the Riders and wether he can find that form again, none of the above should be handed a job without thorough challenges IMO
