Fourth-highest-paid RB in the league. Someone make this make sense.
Could this explain his sudden and unexpected departure from Toronto?
I suspect so.
The Argos couldn't have afforded to keep him. In looking at the offensive lineman salaries on 3downnation.com, it is also very understandable that the Argos had to trade Dejon Allen, given what they are already paying Ryan Hunter and Peter Nicastro.

The GOBs really value "depth" at RB plus good special teamer Canadians; Adeboboye will be lucky to get 10 carries on the season in that offence.
Such $pectacular CFL pay-days for 3 Down to report on to get CFL fans' panties in a knot about. Wow - one RB makes a whole 10 grand or so more than some others - just incredible.
There's always a way to spin such things, isn't there? DA is a great guy, an excellent special teamer and has shown some flashes as a running back. But if he didn't have a Canadian passport, there's no chance he'd be the fourth-highest paid RB in the league.

Sure, just the same as if Brian Scott and a whole bunch of others of his ilk didn't have American passports there is no chance they would earn CFL roster spots and pay-days.

According to 3 Down Nation, Ottawa RB and former Argo Daniel Adebeboye is that teams highest paid player at that position.

I am shocked since all I hear is how the league is biased against Canadians. As much as I like Robbie Smith, I’m what world should he be the leagues highest paid DL?

In Ed Hervey’s bizarre world.
Poached three quarters of the Argo D-Line at the cost of about $700k.

What payday did Brian Scott get? He was a minimum salary guy.

And I’m sure if asked of him, he wouldn’t have felt being a short yardage QB was beneath him

You're saying he didn't get paid by the Argos? Even if he earned CFL minimum wage, it was still getting paid to be on a football team where he got handed his roster spot and pay-cheque due to his passport.
But OMG - Adeboboye, who has shown to be one of the best ST players in the league and also a pretty capable RB, is making about a whopping 40 grand more now than a guy who would just sits on the bench or PR due to his passport ? Quick call the con-jobs and their egg marketing board police to investigate; or, join the chorus of cry-babies over on another predictable CFL site for a whine fest.

Perhaps Scott was the third best QB and earned his roster spot?
It is a stretch to start comparing a third string QB to a Canadian RB who has never started and is now amongst the highest paid RB’s in the CFL.
