Jim Barker told Mike Richards today that Chad Kelly is 100% and has been cleared to play in 2026.
Kelly said during Miller's press conference he was having a scan on his leg in January. Would have been nice to have an update on that, but we got to read about Ouellette sweating because of his late contract extension instead.

One can reasonably infer that it went well if Barker is making those claims.

Speaking of Chad Kelly, has anyone seen or heard from him since the Miller press conference? The team’s issued some very nice player profiles and interviews but I haven’t seen anything anywhere about the Argos’ best player.
I know Barker said he’s ready to go, but fans deserve to know more. Is he 100%? Is he working out with his receivers? How is family life suiting him? How does he feel about the upcoming season?
I find the radio silence a little odd. Has he made any public appearances so far this year? Is he even in town? Did he move his young family to Buffalo and his big support network there?
Is there, heaven forbid, some new problem he’s gotten himself into that they’re not telling us about? Either way the team is not exactly building their 2026 publicity campaign around him. Is it possible he is still considered bad PR because of his past problems?

I know that Kelly himself has had a lot on his Instagram - he seems to be enjoying life with his wife and new baby - and I believe that I saw stuff very recently on the Argos' Instagram that showed Kelly practising (unofficially, of course) with receivers. I really don't know how much marketing MLSE will do until about July.

Thanks Ravi I keep forgetting Instagram is the place to find out what’s really going on, and I’m only half-joking!
I wasn’t talking about some formal Argos Marketing Plan ( as if there will actually BE one), I was talking more about why isn’t Kelly out there more in the off-season at, say, school visits, Raptors games, radio morning shows, etc.

I am certain if Kelly has gotten himself in a situation, a member of 3 Down Nation who resides in BC would gleefully break the news. But that same media outlet should have been reporting on Kelly's leg scan that he had in January instead of writing about every little irrelevant thing Saskatchewan is doing. A former MOP coming off a lost season due to a gruesome injury should have been covered extensively by CFL media outlets. No excuse whatsoever for not saying a thing.

I’ve seen him quite a bit on instagram, yes he is working out with several other Argonauts.

Perhaps MLSE and their superstar executive (Keith Pelley) are in shock with the meteoric collapse of their flagship franchise the Toronto Maple Leafs and are unable to even think about marketing the Argonauts at this time.

But why isn’t the team itself giving fans details about his leg scans, his workouts, and everything else? He’s our best player, the face of the franchise, yet if feels like they’re keeping him under wraps.

I think the team got burned last season because he was supposed to return two or three different times and never did. It seems to me he wanted to return sooner the team deemed to be reasonable.
Maybe they are keeping quiet about it to avoid looking foolish once again in the event of a setback from working out or training?
