Ouellete still having a wife is apparently not certain.

Regardless, if it is true that this trainer has had a relationship with any player period then it seems to be problematic from a professional perspective and could very well go against policy (like dating cheerleaders). Even if Kelly never made things weird or complicated. And if this is the case, I don’t recall this being reported other than Kelly making suggestive comments on a bus I believe.

I just think and a few others, are piling on here. I guess it’s the east thing to do. I won’t change my opinion that there is way more to this story than most know. Kelly was an east target to this person who apparently has never heard of Human Resources and instead gets a lawyer to go for a big pay day. But I guess we are suppose to be programmed to believe all accusations in 2024. I’d hate to be in a car accident with her driving the other vehicle. There’s a frivolous lawsuit just waiting to come out.
I assume you meant to say that I am one of those "piling on," and that it's the "easy" (not east, obviously) thing to do. What would you suggest I should have done? Stop being deeply concerned about the starting QB facing an indefinite suspension that might -- or might not -- be commuted, IF he satisfies the commissioner he has learned his lesson? A lot of Argo fans seem to believe reinstatement is certain; I think it's very much an open question at this point. If I were Randy Ambrosie, tweets like the ones Kelly just issued would not exactly inspire confidence that he has changed. Or should I keep tabs on what he's up to publicly, but not post about it so that folks don't have to stick their fingers in their ears and sing la-la-la-I-am-not-listening?
There are Argo fans who are really uncertain how they will respond if he gets back onto the active roster. Some of them might feel inclined to turn away from the team. For those individuals, however few in number they might be, tweets like these are troubling. Not posting about it on this forum doesn't make that go away.
Can you name some Argo fans who will stop following the team if Kelly is back on the roster? Do you actually know of any?
Because right now from what I see, Kelly is not in the lineup and attendance to home games hasn't been all that great.

I'm not outing anyone -- other than myself. But I can assure you I'm not the only person I know who is pondering how to respond if and when Kelly returns to the team. (You are of course free to believe or not believe that.)
Speaking for myself only, how I respond will depend to some extent on what Kelly and the org say and do before and after (if) he's reinstated. Others might not be so open to persuasion; that's up to them.
As for attendance, if you are suggesting Kelly's absence has had a big impact, I can agree to some extent -- after all, the org was unable to feature their QB in any marketing effort during the off-season, and couldn't even mention him. But there are undoubtedly other factors, including the horrific performance in the Eastern Final and the fact that attendance has been trending mostly downward for most of the past four decades, with a few upward blips along the way. I certainly don't believe that Kelly returning to the lineup (if and when that happens) will result in a huge increase in attendance.

It's a tad ironic that this comment seems to indirectly be a reply to mine, given that I'm one of the few (two, I believe) regular posters on this site whose actual identities are easy to discern. Sure, there are a lot of anonymous posters on Twitter, and here. And a lot of nonsense gets spewed by a lot of those keyboard warriors. But not everyone who follows the Argos and cares about this issue is on Twitter (or here).

So you've implied that you have pondered walking away from the team if Kelly comes back. Which is your decision and I respect that.
Would you stop selling your books? What would you do with the unsold copies? Burn them?
What would you say to Pinball? Do you consider him an immoral person for sticking up for Kelly?
I'm asking this because I find what you are saying very hard to believe.

The Argonauts - Clemons, Dinwiddie, Coach Mike Miller should be in Kelly's ear consistently and continuously advising him to stay off social media. It's a waste of time and can only lead to bad outcomes for him. He can't win, and his frustrations will only be articulated and come across negatively. The CFL communications dept hangs out there and they already have it in for him. His focus needs to be kept on football and rehabilitation of himself.
Ambrosies handling of the matter is egregious. The full report should have been made available to the team and Kelly and their legal representatives. It indicates and reinforces the notion that the knives are out for Kelly.
Should his suspension be extended without Kelly doing something off the rails, he and the Argos should go after Ambrosie and the league hard. The lack of transparency, openness given the severity of the punishment is a bad precedent to set and is putting to much power in the hands of a dictator commissioner.
The 10th game is vs. Saskatchewan at the CNE. That will be a good crowd, and Kelly vs. Ouellette will be must see TV.

You can believe (or not believe) whatever you want. As I said, I'm waiting to see what happens in the coming weeks before reaching any conclusions. There are many potential outcomes here.
