Someone in mgmt's head needs to roll for failing to pull Nolan Ulm off the six-game injured list in order to prevent Trey Vaval from scoring a touchdown on a missed field goal.

Lamport wouldn't work because the team doesn't keep its gear there. They still don't have access to BMO or their locker room/facility, so it has to be Guelph for three more weeks.
Thanks. I figured it was something like that, but wasn’t sure. It is a shame and as I said, I think it’s catching up to them. You were right about that. I thought it would be more of a bonding thing, but didn’t realize a lot of the vets are commuting daily.
They should have stayed in Saskatchewan, as a base, to play Calgary and Winnipeg. Nobody can tell going back and forth was the best thing to do. Listen to the player comments about commuting from Toronto to Guelph, on top of this insane schedule. Hopefully they can salvage 1 more win next week. Beating BC will be tough flying out there again. They can then have a bye week and play at home and start the season for real.

I am not going to judge this coaching staff, players right now. They are doing something incredibly difficult and you can see the frustration, pain, building. They deserve support to get through this. I hope there is a good crowd on August 6.
The players voted to come home. They were given the option. So easy for us to tell people to stay away from their families for 3 weeks, but I also would have voted to come home if I was in that position.

For what it's worth AV, my family would have wanted me to stay out West.

If the majority voted to stay home, I cant argue with that. But how much did they see their families in these 2 weeks based out of Guelph, commuting 2-3 hours per day, flying to 3 cities, etc. They played Saskatchewan 2 weeks ago. It was a business trip. They are burning the candle at both ends, and its showing. Maybe the decision should have been made for them by management.

Again, the players made the decision. Nothing else should be said about it.

This is precisely why (among other reasons related to fans) this World Cup has been so damaging to the Argos. Even if they had played home games in Guelph or somewhere else in southern Ont, the team had no choice but to abandon its own facility and set up shop more than an hour outside of Toronto. Any player who has a family either had to leave them behind for three months (including camp) or fight traffic every day. Great choice. The Lions had to move a couple of home games but haven't been evicted from their training facility, as far as I know.

Agree. Its way worse than just playing 7 road games (bad enough). Your displaced while at home just to practice and manage your life. Which makes it difficult to understand why ownership chose 3 games other than pure greed at their players expense. They could never get away pulling that treatment on their hockey, baseball, basketball, soccer players they pay Millions to.
