Pretty sure you could see an O-lineman gesturing "time" at Ungerer after that play; has to be instructed by the coaching staff - we have only a few seconds so if you catch a short pass, go down right away - hopefully Ungerer learns from that blunder.
I hope Sankey gets suspended for that cheap-shot on Kelly; maybe not super intent to injure, but he stuck out an elbow and chicken winged a guy who already down. I get O-Linemen going after a guy who has done that, but IMO they mostly don't do enough - hold Sankey down by the throat and drive a knee into his gut would be more like it IMO, and worth the ejection to prove a point - especially in a game vs. a team you know you are going to beat.
*** - edit - on a replay I just saw, I gotta give Nicastro more credit for his retaliation on Sankey - drove him to the ground and may have got a head butt in; Sankey calling that a cheap-shot is priceless though, you over-rated, cheap-shot clown; how are BC doing this year with you added to the line-up chum ?

Good to see a Toronto team protecting their players, eh?
I owe Arbuckle an apology. He played well enough to maintain the lead and that stiff arm on Sankey was awesome.
I thought the defence started to figure it out in the second half but there is still a lot of room for improvement. BC had a few incomplete passes where the Argos backs were beat.
Kelly was having a great game before being taken out. Hopefully he hasn't sustained a significant injury and will be good to go in two weeks.

Dave Naylor posted Kelly had xrays on his neck in Vancouver that were negative. He will undergo further tests during the bye week & isn't expected to miss any game action. The Argonauts next play on August 6th when they host the Calgary Stampeders at BMO Field for thier 2026 home opener.

At the risk of sounding like one of those people, we better see some advertising for the Home Opener. Like now.

The all you care to eat promotion is putting fans into seats that are normally hermetically sealed off to all. Having said that, some type of acknowledgement by MLSE that they own a football team that has completed an historical road trip and are home for an entire city to enjoy now. And to usher fans that have been cheering on a baseball team busy imploding in on itself that their are other options available would be refreshing to see.

I agree. Create some buzz. Simply put, between the Jays and the World Cup, people in Toronto have been talking sports all summer. It would be a good time to get the word out.

Although the Argos are moving back home this week, I think when practice resumes on Sunday, they will be bussing to an alternate practice facility. Caribana takes over Lamport stadium every year.

Does anyone else need to disrupt the Argos for anything? Let's just get it over with now. Any concerts? Pickleball tournaments? Political rallies? Cult meetings? How about a mobile dog groomer's strike? Martian heritage festival?
