Yeah, a 6-1, 223 RB who runs a 4,45 forty AND puts up 25 bench reps = a physical specimen; likely gets a call to the Main Combine; decent production as a RB with Alberta; likely looked at as a fullback by the GOBs.j-ski wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 3:11 pm Combine Results

Alberta Running Back OSHINUBI, Opemipo wow, 4.45 forty!
Couple of other guys who have a very good set of testing #s (and who I knew zip about as CFL prospects): Mac receiver Nicholas Adair; and Dinos DB Gideon Agyei.
Tachinski's 4.75 forty is decent for a big QB and his 3 Cone # of 7.15 is quite good.
41 bench reps for Sherby all-Canadian C Anthony Horth is super strong, but at just under 5-11 height - i think will get him written-off by pro scouts.

Re: U Sports Players in the 2025 CFL Draft
So they decided on who moves on based on testing #s alone? What about all the real football drills ?j-ski wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 6:22 pm Players moving on to the main combine;

CFL "scouting" has always been suspect IMO; same old stuff - they have mostly pre-determined guys they like for whatever reason and defer to 40 times or other tests as their main scouting tool.

Ok, so they figured out lots in 3 or 4 hours of "drills" after all the tests were done ?j-ski wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 8:17 pmNo, I think they had football drills all afternoon.OV Argo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 6:59 pmSo they decided on who moves on based on testing #s alone? Re: U Sports Players in the 2025 CFL Draft
Congrats to all the players who moved on to the National Combine--well done. There were a couple of players who surprised (at least me) by not getting chosen. Davis-Lyons (DL) has size and tested well but probably did not perform as smoothly as Nsitem but he in all likelihood, has not received the same quality coaching having played at York. The other player was Agyei (DB) who has size and tested well. Obviously, the selectors are far more qualified and experienced so they must have seen something in how they all performed. Who knows Davis-Lyons and Agyei might be signed by one of the teams anyway--and they wouldn't have to use a draft choice,
