I just saw the replay and didn't like Polk's reaction either. I get being mad about the situation, but he seemed to be screaming at him and then just walked away without helping him up. Just a minor gripe though because Polk was a monster in the 4th.ArgoGabe22 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 5:53 pmWhat a boneheaded play. Very selfish. Not going to lie, Arbuckle really frustrated me a lot today. He just held onto the ball to long in certain situations. But damn, was he cool when most needed.
The o-line was not bad today. 9 yards per carry, and I blame Arbuckle on at least 3 of those sacks.
Brissett is turning into a star. I’ve mentioned before how he is one of the only receivers that catches properly—with his hands and not letting the ball get to his body. He should be the target on every 50/50 ball because of that and his basketball background.
Judge and McManis are IMO the best middle and weak side combination in the league. If they can get Holley back, this might be the inside push they are lacking as far as pass pressure goes.
Anyway, I still hope we see Kelly back next game. Trending upwards.
1-5 in the first third
3-3 in the second third
5-1 in the last third?
I wouldn’t bet against it.

Easy for anyone to say from their couch. If you legit think you are going to score, nothing is stopping you to go for it at that moment. They already had a bad snap/hold combination on the previous FG attempt.

For the record, the Argos are scoring 30.33 points per game and allowing 32.25 points per game.
They have definitely been better since their last bye week a third into the season. The Argos went:
1-5 in the first third
3-3 in the second third
Need to go at least 4-2 in the final third to have a shot at the post-season.
The scary part is that they could have gone 6-0 in the 2nd third if they had been better at closing games.

this Ticat game really shows me how far Argos have fallen with the guys from the 2024 team we lost.
Polk makes it clear. Although our 2025 receiving core has been excellent, so we covered that area well. But that's the only area.
Now watching R. Smith and Ceresna (and Orimolade) and still shaking my head over our 2025 D-line.
Our secondary has stunk all year, although to be fair it's tough on them when the opposing QB has ALL DAY to throw.
Good lord how many times have we seen our 2025 secondary shredded, receivers making catches with nobody within 5 yards of them?
Thinking about Metchie, Priester, Amos.

I think instinct took over.ArgoGabe22 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 5:53 pmWhat a boneheaded play. Very selfish. I don't care what anyone says, a win is a win, just move on with it. But he is very lucky to have accidentally gone out of bounds when he should have intentionally went down/out of bounds.
Brissett saw a chance to score a TD and took it, literally a second away from being a disastrous mistake but let’s take the win and move on.

Season on the line. If he fails, it would be very costly risk and this place would revolt lol. Very lucky to get the chance to score the FG.ARGO57 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 6:24 pmI think instinct took over.ArgoGabe22 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 01, 2025 5:53 pmWhat a boneheaded play. Very selfish. I 100% agree. You've just caught a contested ball, your two tacklers have fallen down and the end zone is suddenly tantalizingly in sight. Instinct is gonna kick in.
