The AUS - weak sister in U Sport ball for some time now - sure gets little to zero respect now for producing CFL worthy prospects.
Repeat AUS all-stars: Ben Harrington (receiver - StFX); Mitchell Martel (O-line - Bishops), Owen O'Neal (LB / DB - Mount A) - were at this Invitational, along with a few other AUS players, but none advanced. Already ZERO AUS players were invited to the Main Combine for this year. Maybe 1st time the AUS has ever been shut-out at this event ?
Maybe one of these guys gets CFL FA signed by a team with wider view scouting ?

The AUS is the lowest calibre of the USports conferences so there should be no surprise about this.

So that means they produce zero CFL calibre talent? - ever heard of Henoc Muamba (best MLB in the CFL when he played) ? And I didn't say I was surprised; i was just making note or an observation.

I didn't say that. Hell, there's good talent that comes out of Europe too but that doesn't necessarily mean it's super high-calibre football. When was the last time an AUS team made it to the Vanier Cup? When was the last time they won one?

Well before Henoc, Jake Thomas, Kaion Julien-Grant, Brett Lauther , Bailey Feltmate and Gregor MacKellar played there.

That's a hell of a long time ago then.

The AUS doesn't get near as many Ontario kids as they used to now that OUA schools are able to offer partial scholarships, and most of the good Quebec players are also staying home. They still get guys who can be coached up to be good players, but recent evidence shows not enough to build teams that can compete nationally.
